Pickleball Mindset -> #MINDSHIFT
Excellent book that’s challenges many different levels of complacency, as it provokes the reader to become more conscious of controlling the controllables (of which there are far more things that are in our control than we may be currently aware). I can honestly say that this book has changed my outlook on both tournament and rec play. I’ve learn to enjoy the game, even when either my partner or myself is playing poorly. The principles shared will help you become a better all around player - on and off the court.

Packed with great advice
I bought the Kindle version and I'm impressed that the formatting works, meaning the charts and such are readable and useful. I've been disappointed before so I wanted to mention that in case you were concerned about getting the Kindle version. Now, about the content. So much gold in this book. The decision to have chapters from the coach's point of view and the student's point of view is brilliant. Both authors write in a way that is accessible, well-crafted, and chock-full of actionable information. They construct paragraphs the way pros construct points in a rally. As I read it, I hear the coach's advice, which is so useful and interesting. Then I read how it resonated with Jill, who adds great insights. Jill brings a lot to the table and I'm glad Dayne won the argument to keep her chapters in. I highly recommend this book. Even for someone like me who is merely a competitive rec player, I'm getting so much valuable info that's making my rec play that much more enjoyable. I'm certain that tournament players and professionals would benefit from this book too, if only because the mental game is so often the difference between winning and losing at those high levels and this book teaches you how to toughen up. It's a great read.

Improved Mindset
Great book, well written with a different approach on how to improve your performance. I have always worked on improving my physical performance with little thought on my mindset and mental approach to the game. Dayne and Jill changed that with this book and I've seen the improvements in my performance since reading the book. Planning to get better a work in progress but working with an Improved Mindset.

Good read but don't expect the book to last physically!
Content was good, but the physical book quality was trash.

Instruction in learning to possess “The Eye of the Tiger”
The wisdom dropped in this book is the currency earned after lifetimes of defeating adversaries, both internal and external. It is one of the most immediately applicable, highly tactical, and useful books I have read in the field of human potential. Dayne and Jill’s lessons just happen to be set on the Pickleball court – the perfect (and most fun) laboratory for working on a growth mindset, pushing limits, and practicing the maximizing of personal achievement. There are no research papers cited or large population studies referenced. Instead, the reader gets the opportunity to sit in on an intense and intimate conversation, a debate and training session between two high achieving, high performance, and highly tuned individual minds living inside bodies hardened by decades of paying the “iron price” on the court, in the court room, and the yoga mat, as they use the sport of Pickleball to uncover the secret to pushing past limits and living into alignment with their highest goals.

Great book for Pickleballers … and others
Engagingly written book that gives great advice on improving your Pickleball game, but that can also be applied to other sports or even work or life. I like how the two voices (professional coach / Pickleball pro and amateur Pickleball fanatic) talked about each piece of advice from different angles. I especially appreciated how the amateur talked about how difficult it was to implement each lesson.A great book for Pickleball fanatics and novices alike, or anyone who is looking for new ways to improve their competitive edge.

A "smart" sports book !
Pickleball Mindset is not a basic how-to about physical fundamentals, but rather a guide for people who already play but want to play better by improving the -mental- part of their game. Top Senior Pro and Coach Dayne Gingrich brings that blueprint to us, while co-author Jill Martin shares her real-life experience as an amateur player trying to apply those concepts. Dayne's input is enlightening, while Jill' s is very relatable. It's a great combo that keeps the book moving. I read it once. Then I read it -again-, with a highlighter poised to illuminate the gems. My copy is now well-marked, for sure!

Practical advice on how to improve your mental toughness in Pickeball!
This book offers practical advice and a roadmap on how to improve your mental toughness in pickleball. I found myself taking notes on concepts that resonated with me and creating a “to do list” that I plan on tackling immediately. I particularly loved Jill’s point of view because it mirrored my own journey over the last three years since picking up a paddle for the first time and becoming obsessed with the game. I’ve also had the pleasure of taking a 4 hour private group lesson with Dayne - his no nonsense, tell it to you straight coaching style was amazing and I learned a lot from him. I feel the same way about this book.
