Great Knob replacement, perfect fitment for my coffee maker.

I bought this to replace the glass knob of the Farberware coffee maker that we use primarily for camping. The replacement knob is a better fit to send the original because of the washer. I also like how it is made of unbreakable plastic. The other reviews have mentioned that the replacement doesn't fit well, but it Works well for me and now the entire coffee pot is unbreakable.

The original was glass. It snapped one day to our surprise. Not wanting to replace the coffee percolator, I looked for and found this replacement. It fits properly and works as expected. I gave it 4 stars as I would prefer a glass replacement, but this saved me money and kept me from replacing the whole unit. We have used it only a couple times since the replacement, so it is difficult to comment on how long this will last.

The media could not be loaded. I bought a stove top coffee percolator made by Faberware. It has a lifetime warranty. The black ring around the top slowly cracked, then completely fell off. I kept brewing coffee with it, but the clear percolator top was slowly starting to crack and the threads that hold it in place were breaking off. I emailed the company as it has a wonderful lifetime warranty. I got no response of any kind. So much for a warranty. I found this on another website and just the shipping was going to cost $17. So I kept waiting and I finally found what I needed on Amazon and the shipping was much cheaper. I am now brewing again with my stainless steel coffee percolator on the stove top and I make great steaming hot coffee every morning. I would not go back to using a regular coffee pot as they don’t get hot enough for me. I highly recommend this piece to replace a broken one if it will fit your coffee pot.

This top was a perfect fit for my Farberware percolator coffee pot

This is the correct set of similar replacement knob and washer ring parts for the top of steel stovetop Farberware 8-12 cups percolator. However in the past, the heat proof, washer ring part has easily separated into 2 parts which can no longer be used to percolate coffee. So now I try not to drop it or turn the knob part over the needed ring part too tight because it is cheaply made and easily breaks as per photo. For this reason, I keep these spare parts handy. The original top part is clear plastic heat proof.

This is NOT glass. It is plastic. But I was not able to find a glass replacement. I haven't used it yet. It's a back up as I read reviews on the percolator that I purchased and a few mentioned the need to replace the glass knob. So far, I have not. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different.
