Nice looking mirror clips with robust holding strength when used in studs.
Nice looking brushed nickel clips (4) for hanging a mirror. There was some quality degradation on the top clips, where the 2 pieces screw together, on the inside contact areas. It was discolored or stained there, didn’t matter because it wasn’t visible, but if used in bathroom where humidity is present then you may be pushing it’s capability for retaining that nice brushed nickel finish on the outside. I suspect it came from humidity en route to me or in the warehouse, although they were packaged in plastic, so don’t know for sure what it is.The installation was easy, locate studs and use longer screws than what was given. The included screws have beautiful matching surface heads but are way too short, ridiculously short, wouldn’t even make it half way into a plastic wall fastener if that is what you’re thinking. Silly. The screws I replaced them with were 1.25 inch flathead wood screws. They don’t match the clips, but then I realized, the screw heads are covered by the installed mirror, so that made all the manufacturing effort to include matching nickel screws even more silly.Overall these turned out great, because I added small square rubber pads to fit between the clip and the mirror to protect the edge of the mirror. The way the clips are delivered appear to imply that metal to glass is no problem. Actually it is, these clips will chip your mirror edges during installation if you’re not very careful. I had a mirror that was about 40 lbs, lifted onto the clips by myself, therefore it would have taken some very gentle insertion into the groove of the clips. With the rubber pads it was pretty simple and worrie free that no damage could occur. If you’re on the fence whether to buy or not, I would recommend these for DIY install, just add the longer screws and the rubber pads. Also note that there are two types of clips per package, one set of 2 is specifically for the top, these have a tiny flush adjustment screw on the top. You install the mirror then put the top of the clip together with the tiny screw and a tiny screwdriver. It’s a little tricky with the weight of the mirror pushing back at you. But it’s doable by yourself.

C.R. LAURENCE MC01BN CRL Brushed Nickel 5/8" Wide Mirror Clip Set
Great design for hanging frameless mirrors.Machined out of solid aluminum, solid. Many ask about supported weight on these - I can not give a definite answer on weight but looking at the supported anchors we know those are not made to hold a lot of weight. The anchors will most likely fail before the clips if used in drywall only. But a 20lbs mirror should not be a problem. If in doubt get 2 or more sets for better support and try using the wall studs with 1.75" long wood screws if at all possible. The set has 4 clips 2 bottom clips, which are solid (not pictured for some strange reason) and 2 top clips with removable L-bracket, secured with Philips-head machine screws.I only needed the 2 top bracket as I used a J-channel mount to hold the mirror and specific mirror-mastic(adhesive) to adhere the mirror to the wall (don't use random adhesives like liquid nails, those might cause the mirror to turn black). The only improvement would be elongated holes for the top brackets so there is a possibility of slight adjustment. Over all a beautiful and elegant solution!

PERFECT!
I viewed a lot of mirror hangers and am so very happy I went with this product. It's super easy to install by yourself, and looks wonderful once it's installed. I am going to buy more to mount pictures and anything else I can think of. Fantastic!

Description is incorrect!
The description states that it is 5/8th when it is not. At most the entire width of the products is 1/2 inch with a j-channel that can support a thickness of 5/16th. Ticked that the description is completely false and now I can't return it.

Be careful trying to hang things with these. You ...
Be careful trying to hang things with these. You have the screw them in and them "slide" whatever it is you are hanging into the clips. This keeps you from fully securing one side of whatever you are mounting.

BE ADVISED - NO RETURNS - beautiful clips, just make sure you can clear 5/8" in both directions
My husband measured our mirror prior to my ordering these clips. The clips measure exactly 5/8", however, our mirror has a decorative line on it that we did not take into account. The clips fit on the edge of the mirror, but that decorative line prevents the mirror from sitting deeply enough in the clip to be stable. No biggie, right? We'll just return them and order the proper size. Wrong. When I went into my orders on Amazon, they are not eligible for return. So now I have mirror clips that I can't use. They're beautiful, very sleek, and I wish they worked for us. So, just make sure your mirror can clear 5/8" both wide and deep.

Look and Work Well But...
These clips don't come with any instructions to tell you that the included wall anchors need a 3/16" sized hole drilled. That's easy enough to figure out. But they are also made for 1/4" mirror with room for a protective backer. Rightly so or you could scratch the mirror back during installation. But it takes a bit of head scratching to hang the mirror without it rattling loosely in the clips once it's up. I glued squares of heavy paper, like a cereal box, one layer at the bottom, two at the top, just enough to cover the metal where they screw to the wall. Once that was dialed in they're a home run, very minimalist and modern.

Sturdy clips
I installed a 3 ft x 4 ft 1/4" thick mirror with these clips. Worked great. Top clip is clever. More solid than many clips. You do need to plan for the thickness of the back part of the clip in your installation. It is best to have mirrors flat against a surface so that there is no risk of breaking while pushing against them during cleaning. I recessed the sheetrock they were going on, but I also screwed into studs so nicking up the sheetrock did not affect the strength of the installation.
