Great supplement to go with the main No-Nonsense Algebra guidebook.
This workbook is strictly extra practice for the lessons taught in the "No-Nonsense Algebra, 2nd edition: Part of the Mastering Essential Math Skills series". In that guide book the homeschool parent will have the tools necessary to help their child work through each exercise set. Also the guide book has a key code to use online and view the videos with great explanations if needed. My 8th and 11th grade children are working through these two books (guide book and this workbook) together daily. The 8th grader seeing it for the first time and the 11th grader using it as SAT review. Best way to study is to teach someone else :) very happy with this workbook.

Exercises are well done
I picked this one up to accompany the main lesson book, since sometimes, my homeschooled 8th grader just needs a few more exercises to understand a concept. These problems follow the themes in the main book and do offer extra problems when needed. The answers are clear and easy to locate as well. This series is everything I hoped it be.

Excellent for any age!
I’m going back to college to finish my degree and I’m prepping for my Calculus classes. I bought this book as a refresher and the online videos are wonderful. Mr.Fisher breaks down all the equations in a very simple way and easy to follow along. The practice problems are great. Didn’t come across any incorrect answers in the solutions section.

Practice only and answer key issues
This is extra practice to go with the lesson book. It works well with the lesson book for reinforcement. However in this book and the regular instruction version of the book there are sometimes errors in the answer key. At times when something has seemed hard to solve because it doesn't match the answer key, we've realized the answer key is sometimes wrong, so use another source to verify correct answers if you ever come across a problem that just feels confusing and you can't get the answer that matches the book.

Excellent workbook
This is strictly a workbook with 10-20 problems per page, one concept per page. There are no instructions or examples. We use this with the textbook, which has easy to understand instructions and practice problems.

Great Book
This No Nonsense Algebra book is absolutely perfect for learning, or re-learning, algebra. I couldn't be happier with it. For the most part the book is all I need but if I do have questions, I just refer to the associated videos for more instruction. I think the book is really well done. It gets right to the point, no rambling. I am very happy with it. Highly recommend! I also got the accompanying exercise book and am very happy with that as well.

Good math book series
I love his math books they are helpful. I had to exchange this one. I didn’t realize it’s only practice problems. I needed the first book that explains how to do the work. I have not done math in over 20years and I’m re learning it using the Richard W. Fisher series of books. I’m preparing for a college math class.

It's Good Until It's Not.
Lots of editing mistakes in the answer keys in both the lesson book and practice workbook and even in the lesson example in the lesson books. Spending a lot of time checking whose mistake it is...mine or the editors. Turns out it's the editor, as my algebra checker shows the answer and the steps involved. Also, Chapter 6, lesson 13 is sorely lacking in instruction. This make these more challenging than they need to me. Thank goodness for the trusty algebra checker. The video tutorials are often brief and not detailed. There's no video for chapter 6, lesson 13 "Factoring More Complicated Polynomials". Bummer. In nutshell, the lesson book and practice workbook are helpful but not a stand alone algebra 1 learning source. Find an online algebra checker that lays out the steps for you, try Khan Academy as well to round out the learning process.
