EXCELLENT AXE - VALUE FOR MONEY
I bought this on 26.06.2019 and it was delivered on schedule at Palampur (H.P), India. Thanks to Amazon.in and Python that such quality product could reach me at this place!! I am a DIY person and recently moved in permanently to my farm-house. I spent many years in field areas in remote parts of India in my two and a half decades of Army career, but am a novice in cutting/chopping trees. This axe did its job excellently yesterday while I brought down a small tree 8 inches in dia, as shown in the four photos. This axe feels good in the hands and is certainly sturdy. It is value for money and highly recommended, emphatically so as MADE IN INDIA

Versatile axe
The nomenclature of splitting axe is not accurate as it is shaped more like a cutting axe. When used for splitting a 7 inch log, axe gets burried in wood completely instead of splitting it open.Handle is very ergonomic but flexes a bit more to my liking when swinging hard.Cutting edge is well tempered and sharp in stock condition itself.Overall I am satisfied with product eventhough it is more similar to a cutting than splitting axe.

A good axe for the heavy handed
A very stylish and durable axe. Handle is hefty and strong with a curved end to be used as a support. Yhe axe is not sharp and does not need to be because the main force is created by its weight and shaft length which adds to the kinetic energy of the strike

I would like to rate this a 3.5*
It's work good on both soft an hard wood, but the handle just doesn't work fine. A powerful blow on any hard wood you can feel a painful vibration on your hands.

It's not so useful. It is not sharp it can't cut wood nicely.Don't buy.

Disappointed
Very disappointed, the product handle is not as shown in the product description, adding pic for reference. Also, the edge is blunt, hence not efficient. Not at all ideal for Heavy Duty Use.

Good quality chopping axe
Works as intended. Axe itself is very good quality, would have worked even better if little heavier. Handle feels wert well, doesn't strain hands. However it does flex, so I think need to be carefully while pulling otherwise might break. Excellent for firewood chopping.
