My husband and I were talking about how we both fondly remember reading Aesop’s fables as children. We purchased this book for our 2 year old granddaughter as part of her birthday gift next month. One can never own enough books and there’s no replacement for the real thing.Part of her nightly routine is to read a story after her bath and before bed - the fables in this book are short enough that she won’t become bored and the illustrations are bold and colorful.We’re very happy with this purchase.

Absolutely amazing, just as I remember it reading the stories when I grew up.My kid certainly enjoys reading it, and has been reading without being asked to do so.

Beautiful book. Complex language for young kids, but the stories are so short it's fun to engage with them about the wording and lessons of the tales.I'd give it a 5, but why oh why wouldn't the publishers have included The Boy Who Cried Wolf in this book??? Huge miss of a story that needed to be included.

A whimsical book, one remembers old sayings from childhood. It is delightfully illustrated! A book for everyone, no matter how old the reader.
