I used these, in a two pack, to repair two lamps that had gone defective on me and these were identical replacement sockets. These went in place within minutes and work beautifully. They were also very well priced!!!

The socket was super easy to install as a replacement for an old one that stopped working properly. For months, I'd dealt with a lamp that needed to have the bulb wiggled and jiggled in order to light up - and even then, sometimes it wouldn't stay lit, or I could only get it to turn on or off, rather than having the low, medium, high settings it was supposed to have. I am SO glad to have found these 3-way lamp sockets! Now my lamp works perfectly on all 3 settings without requiring any fiddling! I appreciate being able to save the money by not having to replace the lamp and I even still have 1 socket to use in the future!

I have this floor lamp that I just love. It just fits the furnishings of the living room so well. The light socket had been "going out" for a long time. I would turn it and turn it and the light would flicker but not come on - no matter how many new bulbs I put in.Hubby is so good with this kind of stuff. He told me to order this and after it arrived, he fixed this in less than 5 minutes. He's kind of awesome that way! I don't think he used much more than a screw driver. It didn't look complicated at all. Now the lamp works perfectly again.Pros:- Easy install- Very inexpensive considering the cost of a lamp replacement.Cons - but not really:- it takes a whole 5 minutes to do. You kind of just have to choose to do it.Looking at it, it's almost self explanatory so don't be afraid of the $8 attempt before you throw out your favorite lamp.
