Q: Exactly how do these open to empty pencil shavings?

When looking at the end you place the pencil to sharpen it you will see that one side curves out. This is where you pull to open and remove the shavings.

Q: I'm looking for a very fine point on a standard graphite pencil to write in a very small font and still be legible. Will this do the trick?

If you want an excellent pencil sharpener, try the Kum brand (made in Germany). They are a 2-stage sharpener, so you can get a pencil very, very sharp (they work best with better quality pencils). They are more expensive but if you are a “pencil snob” (like me), you will love the Kum sharpeners. They even include an extra set of blades to use if/when the original blades get dull. I’m getting these sharpeners for some kids.

Exactly how do these open to empty pencil shavings?

I'm looking for a very fine point on a standard graphite pencil to write in a very small font and still be legible. Will this do the trick?

Does this only sharpen standard sized pencils? Or does it work for larger diameter ones?

Are the colors red, blue, & purple? or orange, blue, & purple?

Effective, Worth the Price

Have ordered several of these through the years and have been quite satisfied. They sharpen well and last as long as could reasonably be expected. Simple to empty and clean, without a mess. Moderate price makes it a good value.

Good product, excellent addition to the pencil box in the classroom

Easy to use. Fits well in the pencil box for classroom use. Bold color. Held up well during the year. Only addition I can think of to improve the sharpeners is a GPS tracker as my daughter kept losing them. 😂 Would buy again!

I like them! You can choose sharp or not and they all work well. A little difficult to empty if you don’t do it immediately after sharpening.

Favorite Sharpeners

These are my favorite sharpeners for kids. They work great and are easy for my kids to use. They are easy to empty and don’t spill all over the place. Don’t break like the other ones we have purchased.

Small but mighty!

These sharpen pencils really well! Don’t let the small size fool you. It’s nice to be able to throw in a pencil bag and go. Great price too!

Convenient and does the trick!

When I substitute teaching and believe, I noticed that the that kids ask to sharpen their pencils all day. I bought these for my grandkids to keep in backpack and school desk. They use them a lot!
