Well designed, sturdy, good performer!
I bought this to do some serious dust removal while planing a concrete floor to remove tile adhesive. It did the job very well. Great suction with or without the bag. Easy to fit and remove the bag and easy to clean. The blower functionality is very useful for general cleanup of tools. The only downside is that the long-handled plastic "broom" is completely useless. It comes in 3 sections (probably to aid packaging) so it is very flimsy and easily falls apart. Luckily I had kept a sturdy metal attachment from an old defunct cleaner that fits well - so I use that instead. On balance, however, I am giving this little vacuum 5 stars as it is incredibly good value for money in terms of performance and function Vs what I paid for it (plus - worth mentioning it is easy to get spares and accessories) (The same cannot be said for other "value" products from other manufacturers where it is near impossible to get bags and filters!)

A really good hoover
I spent days trying to find something that would suit me and this is it. I Love it. I have trouble with my hands but this has made, life better for me. Everything is easy. No need for bags and I can open it to empty it. The suction is brilliant. The cord is a bit short but the hose is long. It isn't heavy and it moves with you easily. The noise level is okay as well. I dreaded hoovering but not now.

Please forget my previous review!
See title...It turns out that my example wasn't kaput after all! So I'm actually glad that my return request was ignored by the seller. The cutting out was a result of there being a trip switch on the supply side of the motor. This wasn't related to the reduced volume the vac was able to pick off, but was in fact the cause of the premature stopping at 8 litres from the vac's promised 20.The solution? Let it overnight and go again next day, that period being a much more manageable 15 minutes as found when I forgot about the trip. This, of course, is perfectly normal for any device that's in contact with excess heat and the vac has been going fine ever since. The impact of my using it for clearing the (wet) wet floor that typically sits at around 22 C had been a safeguarding measure all along. So how about the manual informing their buyers about this characteristic (not fault) of the VacMaster? Would it have killed them to put this information up to the users' instruction book?I'm still going to reduce the star count from 100% to 80% because not every owner will be an engineer by profession! But, by reading the above, instances of this safety device doing its job, perhaps at least some non-technical users can enjoy issue free use of their VacMasters for many years ahead. So yes, I think it's worth the money and there's no denying that now, the vac does a darned good job.So buy one if you're prepared to let it have the occasional break from its work in hot, steamy conditions. In dry mode, the VacMaster is easily more efficient than my older, more conventional machine so mine is definitely back in my good books again. Why did I not add this information sooner?Simple; I didn't want to post my findings before I'd tested the vac thoroughly in all conditions so that I could say, with confidence, that this vac is a seriously decent contender, especially especially at its competitive cost. Thanks for reading, hope I've been more helpful than confusing.Jaye ××

Best hoover ever
Very light, and really powerful !!. Nice long hose easy to reach inside the car. Used to spend hours hoovering the car with my old hoover, could have saved hours of my life if I'd bought one of these earlier. The suction is fantastic hoovers the car out in minutes instead of hours. It also has the added advantage of a blow function and wet a dry pick up. Best hoover I've ever had.

Fantastic suction
I can only comment on the dry suction as not used the wet yetIt sucks better than our shark hoover, can be used bagged or baglessIt has a PTO socket so say you are drilling you plug your drill in then the hoover switches itself on and you can extract the dustAlso has a Blower function which is very useful,a long power cord and a long 2.5 m hoseI would highly recommend this for cleaning cars, house, works a treat on carpets and for the price compared to better known brands is a huge bargainLike I said better suction than my shark plus better than the Dyson I had before the sharkEarly days yet but I'm super impressed with it

Does the job (just)
Ok, to be fair this vacuum sounds great from the advert, on arrival it was super easy to assemble, just screw the handle on and the wheels - takes seconds. I set it up with the cartridge filter and hoovered my living room, the tube whilst long is very cheap and thin, it twists and kinks very easily. Using the carpet floor tool I found the job of hoovering the floor hard work, my cheap and nasty upright does a great job and normally is done in 5 minutes, this hoover took a good 15 minutes and still failed to pick up pet hair. The exhaust port is like a gale blowing, and it is a shame there is no way to block it off.Now into the work shop, firstly the power take off system appeared to work as advertised, a good addition to a low priced hoover. When I sucked up some saw dust, wow, the exhaust port blew dust everywhere, but it did a fine job picking up bigger bits on the floor. When I connected it to the table saw, only a bit was sucked up, most of it was left on the table indicating the suction wasn't powerful enough to clear the sawdust away. So, in my personal opinion, it is useless for the house, poor for the workshop but the PTO works great. Will I keep it, possibly not, it maybe worth investing more money for a better one.
