The mortar and pestal came quickly, and packaged well. There were clear directions on how to prepare it before the first use.It fits nicely in the hands and the non slip pad provided has helped with handling it during use.As they warn, it is very heavy, but it's managable esp. with two hands while carrying it. I also like how it fits well on my counter without taking up too much space.

I loved this mortar and pestle set! The unpolished finish gives it a beautiful, rustic look. The seasoning process before first use was definitely a bit cumbersome (I got white rice powder on the third time), but once that was done, it worked like a charm. I used it for a mint sauce and it worked perfectly. The olive oil left some darker spots, but that didn’t bother me at all. Great quality and highly recommend!

Very solidly made and it works very well. My first use (after seasoning) was to crush up some dried basil leaves and it made quick work of them. After washing it out with water and drying, the lingering smell was not obvious so I am not too worried about cross contamination of smells or flavors. Great product for the price.

I love to cook, and I've been cooking for decades and decades, but I've never owned a mortar pistol. Now I do and I love this one.

For a while I been using a tiny mortar and pestle for grinding herbs. This was a great upgrade to my kitchen. The size is just right, along with the weight. Cleaning is easy due to its size and shape. Very nice.

This is a heavy sturdy item. Just be super careful to not put pestle where it can fall on the floor. I did and it broke in half! Had to order a second one. Lol

I love it. It's heavy duty. I feel it's worth the price. I use to crush everything from garlic, pepper to crab claws. 😆
