Beautiful Grip Great Fit
I was a bit nervous since this was a used grip but it went on my 1982 Colt Detective Special without a problem. I just got the gun and I knew the stock wooden grips wouldn't do the trick. It has a rare 3-inch barrel so with the right grip, it should be very accurate. This grip is a perfect replacement for me since I can now fit my pinkie finger on the grip and it looks and feels just right.

Armscor 206 Snubby
These grips are almost perfect for the Armscor .38 Special snubby. When I put these Pachmayr Colt Diamondback grips on the gun, it made all the difference in the world. What a balanced and solid feel it has. The gun, which seems like a best buy to me; it comes with wooden grips that make +P's a little difficult to hold on to. I called Armscor, a great group of people out of Nevada, and the rep said I can fire +P's but not a steady diet; in fact, I don't have to make sure I shoot under 100 or some little number like a lot of light-weight manufacturers say. When you pick up the gun, you can feel that it is solid and will not be easy to wear out so quickly. EVEN IF YOU DO, Armscor will fix the gun as their lifetime warranty is bulletproof. Besides, outside of using a .357 mag to fire .38 +P's I don't know too many guns that can take "a steady diet of +P's."I don't have any Colt revolvers, but I have a few S&W and Rugers and I can honestly say that this double action trigger is not quite as good as the Ruger, but indeed respectable. S&W just makes great DA revolver triggers. The SA trigger breaks quite comfortably and easy. Now with these new grips the gun holds so much better. You probably already know this, but when firing a revolver, the highest up that you can hold the grip the better. It gives you better control and helps with accuracy. These grips immediately give a natural high grip without having to think about it. This feature alone makes this a respectable gun to use for CCW or even home defense with the right load. And with the few extra ounces, it makes the gun quite comfortable to shoot even with the +'s.One small criticism and I DO MEAN SMALL! I measured about a 1/32" gap in the front on the grip handle which has absolutely nothing to do with the hold or performance of the weapon. I mention this because some have criticized the grips because of this. It is so negligible that it is really not worth mentioning, let alone taking off an entire point because of it. Not only that, but someone else said that eventually this gap disappears with use. I don't doubt it at all. I only mention this so it doesn't effect your purchase decision.Purchase this gun and buy a set of these grips and you will have an inexpensive, solid, respectable weapon with a decent trigger.

Make sure of fitment.
Not a perfect fit for a Colt viper. Had a gap on the front of the grip near the trigger guard. Had Colt Diamondback on the package but was for Colt "D" post 71 frame which I have.

Good, except for a few minor things
qThey seem like decent grips, but there are a couple things to note. Due to the lighting, the grips are actually darker than they appear in the photos. This disappointed me a little because they don't match the paint on my slide as I expected. The alignment it slightly off on the rails, but that isn't much of an issue, you can still fit something on them. Also, the holes where the grips are secured with the screws are a little shallow, leaving a loose fit which makes the grips wobble. Also, the pads don't seat firmly, and they have a larger profile to them compared to regular grips. All in all, not too bad. My advice? Don't be upset if the color isn't right, make sure your washers are thick enough for a secure fit, and probably steer clear of these if you have small hands.

Quality grip (as always from Pachmayr) but did not fit my M200, even after machining with a Dremel
I'll be brief....This is a nice, quality grip. I have owned several Pachmayrs grips and they always make a quality product for the price. I purchased this after some of the comments below, for my M200 beater gun. It is a close fit, but no cigar. There was initially about a 1/4 inch gap on the front of the grip below the trigger. I spent a couple of hours today, first with the Exacto knife, then with the Dremel, after I hit the metal framing in the Pachmayr, and still no dice about 1/16 is as close as I can get to closing it up. Now I'm metal on metal and need to either go into the gun frame, or spend more time with the grip, but at this point, I don't think it is worth it. This is not to say folks below are wrong, both these grips and these guns are not manufactured to the highest tolerances. So, it may be either my gun or my grip, but this was not a solution for me. If it fits your model of gun, it's a fine grip.I really wish someone, anyone, but really Armscor/RIA would make an optional grip for these. I like everything about the gun except for the slippery, hard plastic grip!

Fits RIA M206
Bought this for my RIA M206 revolver because the wood grips it comes with are tiny, and the plastic grips are cheap. The Pachmayr grip wraps around the frame and has a screw that holds it together, there is a slight gap in the front that is about two credit cards wide, but you don't even notice it when holding the gun.It is made of firm rubber, is very grippy, and does a good job of absorbing what little felt recoil there is on the revolver (but its not a recoil absorbing grip). One of the downsides to the grip is that it is large (like the plastic one) and it has a thumb shelf on the left-side that can make reloading with speed loaders very difficult, I just opt to use speed strips although shaving it down with a razor is probably good solution.Anyways, I highly recommend buying this grip.

Disappointed ..
I wasn't satisfied with this product , it didn't fit my gun well , it was loose and I had better control with the orignal handgrip ,although this product is specifically designed for my type of revolver . I don't know if I just didn't purchase a high enough quality product but it wasn't the cheapest one either .

Better than the original
Fit nicely to my post 1971 Colt detective special. Easy to install. I had noticed the difference on the firing range, more comfort to shoot.
