It’s a really well made model which actually turned out to be more durable that I thought it would be!It’s a great tool to provide an outlet for kids creativity and the actual model is quite versatile seeing as it can be used in a careful of ways! It is hard to assemble, quite fiddly, and quite frustrating. I am adult and I felt frustrated so i can only imagine what children will feel. After it is fully built, you are left with a cardboard car. This means it is not long lasting and will essentially go in the bin in a short time which means it isn't worth 30 pounds.

I was hoping this would be a bit more fun but it was a little bit annoying in places. Trying to work out the orientation of some of the smaller parts such as the wheel arches wasn't exactly fun. In the end you're left with a big square box on wheels that is pretty fragile and only goes forwards a few yards. For £30 I wouldn't recommend it.

I thought I was just going to be getting a basic colour in box car like the book/larger versions you sometimes see in the aisle of dreams, but this is lots better!It includes a plastic frame that you clip in to hold bits together and link into the wheels so you can actually use it as a moving jeep, rather than it just being a box with coloured in wheels. Although we haven't destroyed the original yet it looks like we could reuse all these parts and make a new one whenever we feel like it with other boxes too, which is a great idea!The cardboard isn't thin, but if you do have a younger child you might need to remind them not to press as heavy handed when colouring in. My 5 year old didn't break any parts but I did have to keep bending the odd bit back where he was leaning a bit too hard. All still turned out fine though and so far it's lasted 3 weeks with several superheros, a dinosaur and snacks all riding around in it, depending on what game he is playing that day. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a present idea that's a bit different and won't have them stuck to a screen for the day.

Such a great gift which kids get into making. We gifted this to our 5 year old friend and he has absolutely loved making it with the help of his mum and has had many hours playing with it afterwards.So much better than plastic cars which will get lost or broken and the element of putting the car together makes so much difference and gets kids engaged, particularly if they're into building things or seeing how things work.Great gift for ages 4 to 10 I'd say.
