I bought a package of 8 onesies bodysuits to go with a baby shower gift. I didn't take them out of the package which means I can't give an opinion about the softness or material thickness. Honestly I can only say they look really cute in the package. I will give the manufacturer benefit of the doubt and rate them with 5 stars. Don't let me down Gerber
