This is a really good book that was recommended to me as I start my beekeeping journey. Images are really good and will make my job a lot easier.I am of an age when Haynes vehicle manuals were people’s first purchase having bought a car as back then you could undertake maintenance yourself. This beekeeping manual is of the same high quality.

This is a very clear, easily readable book with lots of very clear pictures to aid understanding for those interested in taking up beekeeping. It does not have the more detailed information contained in the authorised BBKA books that provide the more experienced beekeeper with more detailed information needed as experience develops. This book is very useful for younger, aspiring beekeepers and at the same time a useful source of information for all ages. Definitely worth having at the start of a beekeeping career.

Very easy to read and understand

Great book, with so much information to help you on your way to beekeeping.Now to put it into practice.

The first half of the book goes through the very basics of Bee keeping. The second half is good as a reference guide but not easy reading unless you have a hive to hand.

Clearly written with explanations about honey bee colony anatomy, lifecycle and behaviour. Full of illustrations to help the new beekeeper understand what's going on in the hive and make decisions on actions to take where necessary.I'm really pleased with this purchase! 🐝🐝🐝
