Bought as a stocking filler for a fella with a beard. Sadly, I don't think he had the persistance to work with it and prefers looking like a middle aged Neanderthal.

Haven't worked out how the holes measure the symetry yet ?, But it is great for getting the right shape and design but to shave over it is extremely hard so it works in between barber visits for a rough tidy but not a precise one , if like me your new to a beard , but I heard you can buy a beard pen so drawing a line with this tool on the skin would allow for a perfect result with a steady hand and a good trimmer ! I'll be on the lookout

First of all, I shave using a shavette or straight razor. In effect, the rating is conditioned by that. I would not change shaving method to be able to use the tool, I would go ahead and give it a one out of five, or zero if possible.Frankly, you cannot be too precise with this tool and you still have to have an eye for detail, that's because when you get close to it the shaving is not ideal, if not actually impossible. Hence, I give it a three as it is being marketed quite as a highly efficient tool, but in reality it can be impractical. I also give a three, ergo a slightly above average consideration, because it is made of a strong and nice looking material.The best way to use it is to put shaving soap on your face then use the tool to get an idea of the beard shape you are after and then put it over the soap and remove it with the tool. Then, you would shave the area which still has soap on. That works good when you need to reshape your beard lines, but if you are set and can shave well without the need of such tool, then it becomes useless. That means it is not a tool to use for each and every shave.Hence, 3 out of 5.

I'm still no good at shaping my beared even with this toold but it's strong and durable and for the right person would work perfectly

I dont use it anymore but this has been a part of my beard shaping routine for years

This product helped me get my beard perfectly shaped with more symmetrical and sharp edges/corners. It's a Professional's tool.On the downside, I'd really appreciate it if there was a leaflet included with more beard shapes and instructions on how exactly to use those sets of 3 holes to check symmetry. No documentation is included at all for amateurs and that's a shame.The Seller (Mizado UK) was also a little annoying. They sent me 4 messages within one week, asking me to review this product. I had to actually tell them to stop messaging me.
