I will begin by saying this product was not a gift, I purchased it at full price. I saw it was a new item at Amazon. More often than not I have adverse reactions to most medicine, so I use herbs as much as possible. I tried an excellent thyroid product (Zhou), I had a wonderful response to it but, unfortunately, after 4 pills I couldn't get to sleep at all. So I did more searching, found this product, and I was very excited.I also had a positive response to this remedy. I felt a sense of well being after the 1st pill but without the extreme results I had from the regular thyroid product. However, there were 2 ingredients in this product that were red flags--the oregano and turmeric. I know both are recommended for inflammation and I've tried both before. Since I had tried oregano as a liquid, which is stronger than the powder, I thought it was worth another try. I also thought that perhaps I would respond differently to turmeric when combined with other herbs.Sadly, I didn't tolerate this formula. I could clearly smell oregano when I opened the bottle, it was very fresh! An hour or so after taking the first pill I had a noticeable burning sensation in my digestive tract and I knew I wouldn't be able to continue. I took the pill just before noon so I would have plenty of time to see how I reacted before bedtime. I'm very disappointed I can't use this product. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an herbal alternative to treat hypothyroidism.
