I have to say that it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to furniture, but this bookcase exceeds my expectations!! I have put together furniture many times over the years and this was a breeze. I’m a 50 year old woman and I did it with no help in about an hour and a half. I’m sure the time it took me would’ve been less had I had help. If it’s your first time navigating this, you may need help. The screws can be confusing if you don’t know what you’re looking at. There was one screw that would not screw down flush with the tube that attaches to the back to form the “X” behind the shelves, but it wasn’t a big deal because all of the other screws were very tight. So I’m not worried about anything coming loose. Once I got it all assembled and stood it upright, I was AMAZED at how tall it stands!!! This bookcase is gorgeous and we started putting all of our books and decor on it right away. I cannot say enough about how beautiful this piece is. Get it if you’re hesitant about the look and quality

For each side of the fireplace. Love the tall height. Very sturdy. Lots of screws. Get yourself an electric driver gun for quick assembly.

Great bookshelf - just make sure to study instructions before assembling! I had to take apart and redo because I flipped a middle piece by accident. Also - the wood shelves feel more like plastic over particle board and are a darkish brown- but if you don’t look too closely or run your hands over them, they look like real wood. Nice faux grain aspect to them. Can’t beat price.

Bought 2 of these for my living room little display items. I really like it. It does take about an hour to build for one person, not hard though. I plan to buy 2 more in the future. They are sturdier than I thought, with good cross beams in the back to give it structure and a nice design.

Love the overall putting together, got lucky enough to get a couple extra bolts/nuts.

We have been needing some bookcases to shelf some books and eliminate a lot of clutter in our home. I took a chance on this bookcase, and I’m glad I did. Unlike a lot of furniture items requiring assembly these days, this bookcase arrived well packaged against damage and with no missing parts. There are a lot of screws used to assemble this bookcase, and I was astounded to see that none were missing but that there were even an extra couple of screws in each size. No tools are needed for assembly other than the Allen wrench and small crescent wrench provided.Assembly is straightforward and can be accomplished by one person, although a helper would make it easier. One caveat to note is each of the metal sides of the bookcase is composed of three sections that fit together and secured with screws. Make sure that each section has the holes aligned in back because those holes are used to secure the cross struts in back. I didn’t notice this at first and had to spend an extra hour disassembling and reassembling the bookcase. I ordered three of these bookcases, and now that I know how they’re assembled properly, it will probably only take an hour each to assemble them.After assembling three of these bookcases, it’s worth noting their quality of manufacturing. All holes were drilled precisely, the threaded ones were tapped perfectly and have metal inserts to ensure proper fitting. No parts were missing or damaged, which is especially impressive given the large number of screws and nuts involved with assembly. I have ordered lots of furniture over the years that required assembly, but I have never had any that was manufactured and packaged as accurately as these bookcases.Once assembled, I was impressed with the stability of this bookcase despite its 7 foot height. Some hardware and drywall anchors are provided to secure the bookcase to the wall, but it seems plenty stable without this.As far as room goes, I was worried about fitting full-size hardback books on the shelves, but there is ample height even for taller books. I am very pleased.Overall, both my wife and I are extremely happy with this bookcase. It’s stylish, attractive, sturdy, and has a ton of bookshelf space. This bookcase is frequently discounted, but even at full price given the quality of manufacture it’s worth buying.

I have to admit I was skeptical about what the quality of this shelving unit would be, but was very happy once it was all together! Took about 40 minutes to put together; pretty straightforward even without following directions. Everything fit well with hardware included and no issue with being off kilter once together. Very sturdy (we are not using the brackets to attach to the wall) and the shelves are just the right depth for decor and my record player. The engineered wood matches perfectly with my real wood end tables and I love the metal geometric design. Completely worth the money (great deal!) and I'm very happy with how it looks in my room.
