I spent so much time and neck pain staring down each round after powder has been dropped to make sure I’m not under or over charging before adding this to my Lee 6 Pack Pro.Setting up is EASY and it now practically permanently mounted onto my press, unless I’m doing a deep clean. It’s easy to move the rubber ring between calibers for necessary amount.There are other ones that have alarms and electronics but everyone states that the problem with those is increased static and powder getting stuck and making a mess. So I decided on this for the speed of not having to clean up much after and I just have to have an eye on it one every 10-20 rounds to make sure all is well.

Works pretty well as a spot check, but don't expect micrometer-like accuracy. I've found after loading several hundred rounds with this just after the powder measure, the indicator rod height varies a bit from case to case even though the same amount of powder has been thrown. I've checked cases over and over when the indicator rod says that an under or over charged case has been delivered. As such, I can only assume that the case volume variances are to blame or the loaded powder varies just a bit in how densely it packs into the case. In practice, though, this is of little consequence and is beyond the capability of the tool. It is really meant to indicate significantly over or under charged cases. For that, it works just fine. However, I have found that when used with .223 cases, the indication can provide false alerts and I attribute this to the fact that you need to invert the indicator rod so the narrow end can fit in the case. As a result, the slenderness of the rod end sometimes will sink a little into the powder and indicate a low charge. For other cases where you can use the large end of the rod, it does work better and does not vary so much, allowing you to use it to some level to see if a slightly over or under charge has been thrown. I would say this is likely +/- 1/2 grain in accuracy or so, maybe more but probably not much less. All in all, a good product if you understand what it is intended for and use it as such.

Not a whole lot to say. It works well and could possible save your life. I nver double loaded a shell, but I have had times when I forgot to hit the reset button on my auto powder loaded and seat a bullet on an empty shell. Good thing I don't hunt Bear or Lion. In most cases you would notice by weight it's empty, but I use match grade bullets and don't like scratching them by pulling them out of a shell.

Easy to use and set up.Very important for progressive setups.Appears very well made and has a brushed finish a step up from Lee examples.

Hornady powder cop works great better than expected, fast delivery, I recommend highly, will buy for my second press
