Works perfectly for Quest 3 in the dark.
I got this so I could chill in bed without annoying my wife by keeping lighys on. Works great in a dark room. I was surprised at how accurate the tracking was. Highly recommend.

Just buy it
Works better than I expected. It also has a potlrt on the back for a cord so you can still use your power bank and play. Everything is lit up and is easy to set up/take off.

This is a really cool idea and I love it.
This device essentially makes it possible to play VR in complete darkness well mostly. It is a bit finicky losing tracking occasionally but if you need to play in the dark for some reason this will probably be your best friend. Another useful application for this is night vision if you use passthrough on your quest you can see in complete darkness! Or rather your quest can but you'll see through its eyes/lenses. Making it possible to sneak out in complete darkness to grab a snack or just have fun with it. It's like having a flashlight attached to your head that only you can see the light produced by it which I suppose is exactly what it actually is. It's not perfect but it's cool to have. There's also a plug in the back so you can still charge your quest with an external battery while having it attached. Although if you plan to use PCVR with a link cable you will have to take off the device to use it.

Quest 3 Adapter Needed
When I bought this, the only review mentioning Quest 3 said it didn’t work due to the connector not quite being deep enough. Knowing this, I bought the PrismXR Vega T1 low latency ear buds since the dongle is a power passthrough. This made the IR work just fine on quest 3. The Vega dongle is plugged in first, then this IR on top of that, then my external battery on the IR. Both power passthroughs work correctly and power reaches the headset, and the connector for the IR snaps on perfectly now that the Vega dongle gives it a new depth to connect. The IR def is making my hand tracking more consistent in the dark and barely uses any power at all on the high setting. Certainly recommend this product. Just be aware for Quest 3 you will need some kind of passthrough adapter to make the connector reach such as in my scenario. If you don’t want the Vega T1 buds, you can probably find something else to make it work.

This has made using the Quest so much better for me...
This has made using the Quest so much better for me. I typically use the Quest in low light conditions. While it is enough light to not get warnings, I still did not get smooth performance. I had no idea this was a lighting issue until I got this device. Now the quest can track everything in the room and the VR is liquid smooth as a result. This has also fixed hand tracking for me. Unless the Quest can easily see your hands, that feature doesn't work well at all.And there was one unexpected bonus feature... NIGHTVISION! Yeah, I'm a huge geek and I love my technology. Now when I put the Quest on pass through mode, I can walk around my house in pitch black darkness and see just fine. Considering this only cost $20, that's pretty cool! Well, at lease I think so. My daughter was not very impressed. :)

Works amazing in every scenario
Tracking is perfect even in complete darkness! I wish it turned on automatically when I turn on the headset, but a single button press is a simple extra step.I saw a lot of reviews saying the connector breaks easily, so I will be extra careful and you should too. Even at $20 which is not too expensive, I hope it lasts and will update in the future.Update: It doesn't allow the headset to maintain 70% charge. It slowly drains.

Literally perfect. Hand tracking in total darkness
As the title says, this enables the headset to do tracking (including hand tracking) without any visible light whatsoever. A completely dark room is bright with the light on in passthrough and suddenly you don't have to worry about how much light there is.The thing is so small and light that you can completely forget it's there. It fits in the palm of my hand. If you like it being small and light, instead of bulkier like the ones with batteries might be, I can't recommend this more.

Good lighting for low light area but connector failed
The product works as advertised, very good ir lighting in low light area. Two settings for different strength of light..however..the connector broke off in my Meta Quest headset when I tried unplugging it. I have included photos to show what I am talking about. There was no excessive force used to remove it from the headset or prior damage from normal. Just standard light tug to remove it. For the price of this product..I would think the construction and reinforcement around the adapter would be much better/stronger. If that hadn't happened I was going to give the review a 5 star. I liked the light coming from it and the ability to adjust it's strength. I deducted stars for the failed piece under normal operation.
