Just ok
The screws/bolts holding the mic attachment are difficult to keep tight. They should be knurled and larger to enable more secure tightening.

Had missing parts so I had to improvise and use my own parts

Excellent! Sturdy and effective.
Works perfect! I used this last night to record some last minute VO from my noisy apartment, and I was very impressed with how the results sounded. It’s a sturdy build with heavy metal pieces, easily customizable, and folds up nicely for storage. No complaints here!

Can be usable, but will take effort and planning.
The main backing section is nicely wide, but a bit narrow top to bottom. This wouldn’t be that bad if not for the way it mounts with the microphone, where the bottom of this backing will be perfectly level with the bottom of the microphone. You will get different results depending on the angle you sing at, as direct sound will easily pass underneath the foam. You can add to the setup to address this, but who wants to bother with that. Also, it is difficult to get the threads to hold tight, causing the unit to remain loose and turn at the slightest touch. Like you tighten it all you can, and the. When you center the mic, it falls apart. The pop filter is useless. This is hard to accomplish for an item that only needs to be glorified panty-hose, but the ring spins all Willy nilly. Even the wind from your voice will put it out of position. The foam is decent. It can be made useful, hence the one extra star.

Legit heavy-duty equipment
I got this thinking it was going to be relatively cheap in quality and not meant for use in anything other than my 8-year-old daughter's voice overs that she does as a joke on her youtube channel. I was really surprised though, that the whole setup is solid, and I've used it to record vocals on some serious projects - both spoken and sung - and it's worked really well. So for the price, you get either a really cool setup for podcasts, or a legit piece of recording equipment. Love it.
