I was Skeptical at First
As a birder, I wasn’t sure if I dared buy bird seed from a company that showcases an insectivore as the on the label of said seed. But I found the seed is of good quality. It is not unusual to find pieces of hulls in a bags of sunflower hearts, or stems in a bag of whole black oil sunflower seed. But, I have not found an objectionable amount of seed hull pieces in my purchase. I mean purchases as I just ordered my fourth bag. I am still not used to seeing a bluebird on the cover of a bag of seed, and I never will 😁

Quality product
This is a good wild bird food that combined with other provides a nice variety at our 2 tired feeder.

Splitting Bags
My birds love this product. However the bags keep coming apart at the seams, spilling seed everywhere. This has happened even in transit. So this is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Birds love it....and alas, so does the doe that visits occasionally
This seed attracts all sorts of birds...cardinals, a blue jay now and then, house finches....but alas, so far has attracted one small doe. We do have squirrels but a slinky added to the shepherds hook deters them. Now to find something that would deter that doe. And yes it is expensive....but the seeds definitely do not sprout when some are tossed from the saucer of the feeder. That alone makes it a time saver from having to pull weeds underneath the feeder!

Rancid seeds birds will not even eat
RANCID BIRD SEED. I ordered shelled sunflower seed twice in 2025, both times seed so rancid (smelled awful) birds would not eat. Amazon refunded my purchase first time. Have not contacted them again.I feel I should known better than to order again!I first ordered from this company in 2023 and 2024 , the product was fresh and birds loved the treat of shelled sunflower seeds! I trusted this company/Amazon would continue to sell a usable and fresh product.NOT

Birdie delight
Either our regions weather is creating demanding birds & squirrels, or these are just what they hoped would be thrown out for them... Between these and a few peanuts they are willing to jump into a 10 foot bird feeder (squirrels of course).... And I don't even have my screen on my window for easy maneuvering abilities... I've learned to throw some out on the back patio before they raid the front on the window feeder.. The seeds smell marvelous
