Never really write reviews but this hair wax (moving rubber) is the product I have been searching for all my life. I have very thick, straight, medium Asian hair (mullet style) and this product actually works very well on my hair.Love how the wax is damp so when putting it in your hair, you can form it exactly how you want it without overly pushing down on a certain part of your head.Great product if you want more volume or going for a Korean look with the bangs flared up with a middle part. Styles like mullet, wolf cut, perm, even short-long hair on top with a fade.What I found that works is wetting my hair and using sea salt spray first. Then using a ceramic curling brush and blow drying my hair to form how I want it. Final touch is using the gatsby moving rubber then hair spray.This review is for guys who have similar hair types and have been waiting to find the right product or not knowing if you should buy this. TRY IT!!!

Great smell. It was just what I was looking for. I had bought this gel back in Japan and loved it and so I had to have it again. I will for sure buy it from here.

The texture of the is fine just make sure you use it quickly. I didn’t really notice any shine from using it. I do use it every day and can say it hold up very well thru out the day. It’s very easy to wash it out. I say give this a try if you haven’t.

Pros:- THIS STUFF SMELLLSSS GREATTTT!!- Really airy lift, this stuff is simply amazing!!- If you put the perfect amount, it makes it so your hair is soft, but it stays up- Packaging is extremely slick and modern- I've been using gatsby for 2 years now and I'll never try anything again!!!- This stuff lasts forever if you use it correctly! I can go almost 3-4 months on one bottle!!Cons:- If you use too much it makes your hair extremely hard and immobile- Dirt and hair gets stuck in between the threads of the cap and it gets kinda gross- The Gatsby is super green, so when you see your old black hair floating in the container, kind of grossI would highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone!! I've been using it for over 2 years and I can't get enough. After I get out of the shower, I lightly dry my hair until it is at the borderline of damp and dry. If you try to use this product while your hair is dry, it will not work very well (in my opinion). I work a little into my fingertips, and I touch the tips of my hair first. After I do that, I work the base of my hair, and then I run my hands through all of my hair. This technique really allows me to conserve the product for months on end and makes my hair extremely light and airy. I would highly recommend this product to all my friends and family. I know there are a lot of gatsby's to try, but if you want a nice light and airy one with medium to long hair, then try this one!I did not receive any money or compensation for this review. I have used Crew Fiber for years. When I discovered it in a sea of horrible products, I thought it was gold. Gatsby's Air Rise is the next level.I have medium hair. More specifically I get my hair cut with scissors but sometimes I'll get some of the longest electric clippers on the sides and back. I like to have my hair around there tidy. I grow out my hair a bit on top, but nothing crazy like these pictures of Japanese men.My hair sticks up a lot around the crown because it's fairly fine/thin. So I use products to make it slightly messy but generally professional, and keep it from sticking up. Crew Fiber does an okay job of that, but it loses hold over the day, it doesn't spread evenly, and it clumps a bit in the hair. To get an ideal styling with Crew Fiber I would have to hair dry my hair but leave it slightly damp. Otherwise it wouldn't work, especially as my hair got longer.I can achieve the same sort of styling with Gatsby Air Rise, but get better results with less meticulous setup (right dampness). Specifically this product beats Crew Fiber in the following ways:1. It holds much better throughout the day. I can workout, sweat a bit, and it's 90% still there.2. Leaves the hair softer to touch.3. Does not clump.4. Requires less focus to apply it. Just get a dab, spread on hands evenly, and rake. It won't insta-dry like other products prior to application.To those with similar hair/style: I also tried Gatsby Spikey Edge. It has more hold, leaves my hair stickier, and clumps a bit, especially in the bangs. Seems more appropriate for short hair.

It really didn't work for my hair type..I need to use a dry wax like paul mitchell.nothing else works.

I really like the smell of the wax. The stickiness is enough to hold my hair all day.

I started with the Pink Moving Rubber and heard this one has more flex. It's GREAT although I need more than I'd like, so I don't use it too often. It's NOT sticky (Pink is/can be). You can also add water to these then put it in your hair for a different kind of application. I use it straight and watered down. It helps me with my frizz and to keep my waves/soft curls tamed. I'm a fan.
