Great for our shuttle bus conversion.
We installed this into the counter of our shuttle bus build out. It has worked perfectly for the past few months of constant use. It uses about 700watts on the 2.5 setting and uses about 1500watts on the 8 setting. Those are the two settings we use most frequently. It's easy to clean and looks slick. Highly recommend.

Happy
Purchased to test out using induction. Convinced me that next stove will be induction.

Wanted ability to move induction cooktop
Wanted ability to move induction cooktop without commiting counterspace in which to insert this model and chose the duxtop (same brand as this built in model) e200a as it also has a metal skirt to protect from overheating or fire. The countertop e200a and this built in countertop model both from duxtop constantly have a running cooling fan. If you do use the built in model on the countertop it has sharper but rounded glass surface corners that may chip if moving pots to and from the cooktop as compared to duxtops countertop metal skirted model e200a. No plastic smell in both duxtop models as reported with other manufacturers nor has any plastic housing melted or warped from overheating with the e200a (we did not retain the built in countertop model so no long term testing or feedback is provided regarding the built in countertop model).

Use it every day
We can’t change our wiring and so can only accommodate one “burner “ at a time. But that’s really all we need. This helps us reduce and even avoid using our gas stove. It heats effectively, easy to use and clean.

Ideal cutout is 11" x 13.75"
As several reviewers have written, if you use the cutout dimensions indicated in the picture in the listing, the opening will just barely work, but be too big for comfort forcing you to use caulk or sealant to hold it perfectly in place. However, if you look at this picture in the manual, you can see that those dimensions are simply the MAXIMUM sized cutout you could possibly make work. The picture here also shows the minimum cutout dimensions. Splitting the difference, you end up with an ideal cutout of 11" x 13.75". This leaves a little less than a quarter inch of room in each dimension which is just about perfect for the included foam gaskets to keep it in place without any caulk/sealant.Other than this issue with the listing, the unit looks great and boils water fast... so far. I'm a bit worried about logevity since a few folks have complained that the power has gone down over time, but I'm hoping that's just a few units whose coils have failed. Time will tell.

Switched from traditional stove top to induction - a good choice
I tried a countertop Duxtop induction burner prior to taking the plunge to the built-in model. I love induction and Duxtop. The units heat up quickly and perform well with cooking foods. The noise other reviews mention is not a problem as the units are built in the noise is muted by the cabinet. I purchased 2 built in burners. They work great and are easy to clean. I drew a mock cutout size on cardboard and tested that prior to cutting my countertop cutout. My units drop in without movement. I highly recommend any Duxtop induction burners/cooktops.

Replaced a gas cooktop with 2 of these.
Two of these is better than a 4 burner cooktop. I was able to use a 110 outlet instead of a 220 required by most double units. Both burners can be used on full power at the same time. Others with 2 burners either require a 220 outlet installed by electrician or one burner can be on full power and the other is on low power.I put 2 together to fill the space left by my gas cooktop with a vent behind it to fill the space. It was cheaper and better than a 2 burner unit. I took a razor blade and scratched off the white paint lettering. It looks more high end now and you can still read the text.

So far, so good.
UPDATE 12/21/2021One star penalty. It has poor temperature control. I almost always use the power setting rather than the temperature setting. From 1-10, you'd think that 4-6 would be the medium settings and should heat up the cookware to probably no more than 350F...this morning my bacon almost burned. When I used an IR thermometer, it said it was above the limit (716F). Now, it could be that either the thermometer is faulty or the cookware is simply too weak and heats up quickly, but the fact that even at 4.5 avocado oil starts smoking (that's a 520F smoke point), it begs the question as to whether this cooktop has ANY sort of temperature control.I may switch to temperature mode, though I'm not too optimistic. It's still, however, a better cooktop than the electric coils but I'll be very disappointed if all induction cooktops are like this one.-----------------------------------------I’ve been in places with gas stoves or ceramic top, so when I moved to an apartment with the electric coils stove I knew I needed something else. Enter this cooktop. I bought it with a 10in MSMK Nonstick Skillet Frying Pan (also on Amazon) as none of my cookware is induction compatible (and i needed a smaller skillet anyway). It’s not too heavy (probably about the same weight as a pan) and it can be tucked in a corner without taking up much space.I used it for breakfast and was immediately blown away at how easy and efficient it is. No heat is lost, the food was cooked thoroughly, and it responded as quickly as a gas range would. There IS some whirring when you operate it (you ARE creating an electric current against a material) but other reviews claiming that it’s loud are overblown and after a while you barely notice it.I will eventually either get a second burner or a two-burner set so I can do more things but so far, this is definitely a great purchase.Do keep it away from any other metal (so placing it on the stove is a no-no), and keep your watches, phones, and other sensitive items away unless you wanna find corrupted memory.
