I bought these Smart Plugs to reflash with ESPHome and integrate into Home Assistant, and they worked perfectly! The flashing process is a breeze—there are labeled pads that you can clip onto to program, so no soldering is necessary. Once set up, they function flawlessly and provide reliable energy monitoring. Highly recommended for anyone looking to customize their smart plugs for home automation!

I think I have about 18 of these. I've installed Tasmota on them, which is extremely easy to do (tip: speed it up even more and avoid soldering by getting some of those spring clips). I've gotten to the point where I have Tasmota installed on each one in about 5 minutes start to finish. I use them for several appliances solely to monitor power usage (things I'd never shut off, like the fridge), and with Tasmota you can disable the ability to shut them off.I had one that didn't work - the relay never triggers power to flow. Unfortunately I didn't open the package and discover the issue until after the return period had expired. So, that one is on me. But otherwise they work great.

These have been really good for me. I’ve been using them for years now. I can turn devices on and off anywhere in the world over the Internet and I get text messages telling me when there’s been power interruptions. The power monitoring could be better, although you can’t expect much in saving a long duration of power usage for a device. The configuration can be a bit cumbersome if you’re not used to it so just pay attention to the instructions and I’m sure you’ll get it to work.

Used these around the house to control power strips and lights. Used with Home Assistant and they work well.

I first bought SwitchBot smart plugs thinking they would work with the Core SwitchBot integration with Home-Assistant, extremely disappointed in not only the broken integration, but also the terms of service from a company that has had a lot of recent YouTube praise. Unfortunately, it just shows the known ignorance and total abandonment of values in the name of convenience... Enter HACS and Sonoff; While Sonoff is also doing some data mining it is possible to run the S31 Smart Plugs completely local without the app or the cloud using HACS on Home-Assistant with no fooling with jumpers or fussing with flashing. Several recent HA forum posts and YouTube videos cover the procedure, just look for the most current so you can follow along more easily since the recent changes.Also, Stay away from the S40 if you use Home-Assistant. S31 is the way to go.Deducted a star for the shady terms of service that are getting all too common with IoT products. Otherwise, it would be 5 stars.

Switches seem on par with other smart switches build quality wise. I did disassemble these to reflash them with Esphome in order to get then integrated with Home assistant. So far I have not had any issues with these and would buy again.

Disappointed. It wouldn't connect to phone. Based on what I read in email, it will only work if you use alexa or google or other platforms. I didn't want any platform. I just wanted it connected to my phone and it wouldn't do it. I spent 3 hrs working on it. Not worth my time. Their are other brands that are more friendly then this crap.
