LRP EFFACLAR DUO REPLACEMENT. WORKS AMAZING!!!!
LRP discontinued my holy grail effaclar duo spot treatment which was also benzoyl peroxide, and I was heartbroken. I started using a general benzoyl peroxide cream and my skin was soooo broken out and terrible. I felt so sad and back to my 16 year old self trying to find any product to help clear up my skin. So I researched a bunch of “best benzoyl peroxide cream” products and eventually after reading tons of reviews found other people saying this was an LRP dupe. So after ONE NIGHT trying it, my skin has already cleared up so much. The relief I felt looking at my skin this morning was just unlike any other. The consistency is definitely thinner than LRP, but I like it honestly. It kinda dries out my skin the same way LRP did but I have a great moisturizer that works for my skin from using LRP effaclar duo for so many years. I don’t have cystic acne but a ton of tiny bumps all over my face. And I’ve never really known the cause. But LRP was the only thing that got rid of them. Now this. Thank God I found this. PLEASE DONT DISCONTINUE IT. or replace it with some retinol and claim it’s a good replacement. This works SOOO well.

Love it!!
The absolute best product to clear up my skin! I had horrible breakouts from stress and my skin texture was the worse it has ever been until I started using this product along with the Paula’s Choice liquid exfoliant and it has been a GAME CHANGER!! So many stars and applauds to this product!

Dupe to La Roche Posay's discontinued spot treatment
The La Roche Posay spot treatment was discontinued, so i used the one they recommended to replaced the discontinued one and that DID NOT work. This has been the only one that is almost identical to the La Roche Posay spot treatment. LRP's was 5.5% BP and this one is 5% BP. I used it for 2 days and right away noticed my skin was clearing up again. I went like 2-3 years without cystic like acne on LRP products, and when they discontinued theirs I almost wanted to cry. This one is definitely a dupe to it! Give it a try. Does not dry my skin out either, of which because my skin was used to 5.5% BP already.

I expected more
I’ve been using this brand for a long time, but I was a bit disappointed with this cleanser. I’m not a fan of the texture or how well it actually cleans the skin. It doesn't remove makeup at all — I have to use a separate product first, and even then, after washing with this cleanser, my skin doesn’t feel refreshed or light.I wish it were better. Also, the price of this cleanser is a bit too high for the size of the tube.

Great replacement for La Roche-Posay Acne Treatment, Dual Action
I don’t usually write reviews for products, but I felt this one truly deserved it. I was La Roche-Posay Acne Treatment, Dual Action user, and it was the product that finally cleared my skin. Then, it was recalled, and I couldn’t find it anywhere and had a total meltdown. Reading some reddit threads and doing research, I decided to give this product a try. My skin took to it super well, and I didn’t have any of that it gets worse before it gets better stuff to deal with. For anyone who is looking for a La Roche replacement, I highly recommend this product. For context, I am 23 and have extreme combination skin. I use the extra strength benzyl peroxide, kiehls moisturizer, and aquaphor on my eyes and around my nose, and this is what finally cleared my skin. Hope this helps anyone who is struggling as well. Best advice I can give is listen to your skin, and it will tell you what it needs.

Please patch test before using
I’ve loved & tolerated well everything I’ve tried from Paula’s Choice — the Clinical 1% Retinol and Skin Perfecting 2% BHA liquid exfoliator are staples in my regimen, so I thought this would be fine.I put this on my face during my AM regimen and spent the whole day with a happy complexion. I washed it off, slept the night, and got out of the shower the next morning with a gnarly rash on my face. It was super sore, leathery, bumpy, red, scaly, and super itchy. At first, I blamed it on a tea tree oil cream I tried for about 20min the night before. But just to double check, I swiped some of this on the side of my neck, and sure enough within 12hrs it was itching and burning with the rest of my face.I washed it off thoroughly and slathered on extra-strength hydrocortisone cream (which stung like nobody’s business), following up with a super-soothing barrier cream to lock in moisture & prevent it from cracking. It’s been 3.5 days and the rash is still there, but it is fading. I have to keep my regimen really really simple & gentle and avoid actives until it clears up completely.Of course I am super bummed out about this, but it’s not the product’s fault, which is why I gave it 3 stars. At least I was able to return it, and now I know that I don’t react well to benzoyl peroxide. My skin is sensitive to some things, but I’ve never had a reaction like this before, so I never had a reason to patch test any new product (until now).Remember that even though this is a low concentration, benzoyl peroxide is still a strong ingredient with a relatively high sensitivity rate. So I highly recommend doing a small patch test on your neck before slathering this on your whole face.Reactions like contact dermatitis and chemical allergies can be delayed as long as a week after the first use, so at the very least, leave the patch untouched and watch it closely for 24-48hrs.Hopefully it works better for you than it did for me!
