Key Fob Cover Fit for 2004-2009 Toyota Prius, Key Fob Replacement Shell Keyless Entry with Blank Key, Key Fobs Case 3 Button(MOZB31EG, MOZB21TG)

It may take some time but It all snaps together. Mine was missing an O-ring but I reused the old one. This is my 2nd time replacing the fob case, but they take a lot of abuse. Everything is working fine.

It comes without any instructions, but one can get help in setting up the key fob on the internet. But be careful about the steps involved in moving the circuit board of the old fob to the new one. The steps involved are:1. Remove the key. This involves sliding a tab on the end where you would hang a house key and pulling the house key. The tab is very tight.2. Open the tab again and push up on the side without the buttons. You should eventually get it off.3. Remove the 4 (tiny) screws and the square plastic piece that covers the battery.4. Remove the battery.5. Now comes the hard part. It is difficult to open the old fob. I used a knife and pried and had to work the seam open. When you have it open carefully remove the circuit board.6. This step is not on any of the videos that I watched at one end there is a small trapezoidal piece. Remove it and carefully put it with the circuit board. I didn't do this step at first and when I was done the new fob did everything but start the car.Now it's time to move the circuit board to the new fob.7. Put the circuit board in the part of the new fob that has the buttons on the other side. You will notice the trapezoid shaped place on the new fob is empty. Put the mystery piece in the same place it was in the circuit board. There is also a little white piece on the old fob that is not on the new one. Put it on the new one.8. Now attach the piece that holds the battery. It just clicks in place.9. I would put a new battery in the fob.10. Using the new screws attach the square plate.11. Slide the piece with the tab that releases the key into place (this involves holding the tab open while sliding the piece in place.12. Put the key in the place it was on the old fob.I replaced two fobs in this way. Both were successful after the insertion of the mystery trapezoid. Both would do everything but start the car without it. The new fobs replace old ones where the outside buttons were peeling off. The replacement is very nice, seems robust and will probably out last my 2006 Prius.

Everything fit together. All buttons work as they should.

The remote was easy to program but it has issues. It seems to drain the battery pretty quick or it once the battery goes down below 2.9v it begins to have issue. I replaced with a new battery and somehow in 3 to 4 days i am having problems with it recieving signal to open the door. I have a remote that is keyless entry and allow to start the car. When you press the remote if it is working correctly the light flash red once on the remote and disappear even you hold the button on the remote. When it has issue it loses signal and either the LED does not light up red at all or it flashes fain red and stays on when you press any of the remote button once or holding the button down. This causes me not being to enter the vehicle or start it up. If I use the key to enter the car sometime remote might work again but it is still intermittent and am not sure yet.I am still contemplating to keep it or return it since the dealer remote cost so much. I return the first one back to Amazon hoping the second one would work better and to see if the first one was a bad one, but it does look very promissing, it seems to have the same issue. Progamming it work fine, I am still testing with other batteries to see if the battery is the problems. I still have 2 weeks left beforereturn policy expired (by returning it back and getting my money back). Very dissapointing.

I was able to successfully program new key using my OEM key. Instructions are straightforward.
