The Right Battery for a Special Purpose!
This battery was used for a SnapOn Diagnostic Scan Tool. The unit is a Windows-based scanner for automobiles with OBD-II engine controls from 1996-on. The tool needs this battery internally on the computer board so it keeps the CMOS date current along with other needed items. Without the new battery, the scanner would show the wrong date in the memory and the scanner software wouldn't load for use. In my unit, changing the battery required opening the case, but since my unit is out of warranty, it wasn't an issue. After gently opening the body and carefully detaching the old battery from the computer board, I installed this new battery with its sticky pad to the board and closed it. Upon turning on the scanner, I reset the date and time in the Windows control panel and restarted the scanner a 2nd time. When the scanner was restarted and the WindowsXP system booted, the corrected and maintained date loaded in the CMOS. Now the software can be used again and the scanner works well! This battery is a special, required item that has a special wire harness that locks onto the circuit board specifically for the function it serves. It is a CR2032 with tabs and wires attached because the board doesn't have a slot like other items have for the 2032 battery. The buyer only has to specify how the wires are arranged in the terminal because the pos and neg wires have specific spots in the other part on the board, just like any other battery. I was so glad to find this special battery on Amazon. It saved my used $1800 scanner from being a paperweight!

Perfect Replacement Battery – Works Across Multiple Devices
I purchased this LeFix CMOS battery to replace the dead one in my older Dell laptop, and it worked flawlessly. Installation was simple and straightforward, and my system's BIOS settings held immediately after reboot — a clear sign that the new battery was doing its job. What really impressed me was that I was able to use the same battery to revive a mini PC that had also lost its BIOS settings due to a failed CMOS. Both devices recognized the battery right away, and I haven't had any issues since. In my case, storing the equipment in cold conditions seemed to drain the original batteries faster than expected, so having a reliable replacement like this on hand is a must. Shipping was fast, packaging was secure, and overall, it saved me a lot of troubleshooting. If you have an older Dell, HP, ASUS, or Samsung system that’s acting up during boot or losing BIOS time/date — this battery is a simple and inexpensive fix. Highly recommended.

works great, fits DELL Latitude 7480
Those skeptical like me, well it works! I was not sure it would fit my laptop when I got it, but it fits perfectly. I have a DELL latitude 7480, and was having issues booting up, and figured give it a shot replacing the CMOS battery which sounded like the culprit and it was. Replacing the CMOS battery was super easy, detached the old one, then simple removed the adhesive from the back of the new one, popped in place and connected it. Voila. Worked right way, functions great. I went with the cheapest CMOS battery I could find and I don't regret, it is a good battery for the price.

Works with NUC6CAYH (Be careful of the NUC connector polarity)
If you’re getting a lot of crazy messages from your NUC it’s probably the CMOS battery. There’s no way to check the battery charge other than to open the machine up and get your meter out. The good news is that if you can figure out how to get to the CMOS battery in a NUC6CAYH, here's a great you tube that will walk you through this painful process, this battery works great. You have to be careful because on a NUC the polarity on the CMOS battery connector is reversed so make sure you order the correct version. The battery got here quickly and was fully charged so it should last for another 5 years. Great deal that got my NUC up and running again after I finally figured out how to get to the battery.

Good Battery
The connector on the battery was not correct. I had to cut and resolder the old connector onto the pigtail. The battery was fine and worked on the computer once I changed the connector.

Works as intended
My old laptop was struggling to keep time. its old, needs a new battery. This was cheap, and was perfect fit. Not much to say, it holds time just fine now. Opening the laptop is a bit of struggle, but that is the PC manufacturer. You can just get the battery and wire it up, but who knows when that will come disconnected. I like the harness to keep the connection better.
