Nut rake
We have 4 walnut trees so we have plenty of nuts falling every year. My husband wanted something to make clean-up easier. He ordered this from Amazon and can't say enough about it. He hopes whoever invented it is a billionaire.

Works fantastically!!!!
I use the "wizard" to pick up walnuts (black and English) but we had a pumper crop of medium sized apples (gala, golden and delicious) that we just ran out of energy to can. They also were way too high in the trees to pick. So, the "nut wizard" had a secondary task to pickup apples. So far I've picked up six full wheel barrows of apples and dumped outside our fenced yard for elk, moose and deer (possibly bear as well) I figure that I've saved hours of time and my back as well. Highly recommend. Oh the "large size" works down to English walnut size and up to medium apples. Also, the tool comes with a stiff piece of bent mettal that fits on a 5 gallon paint bucket to unload the "wizard" with minimal effort and spillage.

AMAZING - Easier than sweeping the floor!!
I ordered the largest, 17" "Large Nut Wizard- Nut Picker Upper for Black Walnuts and Sweet Gumball Rake," while crossing my fingers that it would pick up apples and pears. Otherwise, I would have to return it. When I put it together, I was skeptical because the wires were so close together. We live in the Rocky Mountains, so our growing season isn't as long as elsewhere and our apples get, on average about 3" wide, but some larger. This rake is so slick (as in amazing and cool) at picking up both apples and pears. It is absolutely amazing. My 4-year-old grandson loves it and can use it easily and I help him empty it. I was completely shocked at how well it picks up apples. and pears. I purchased it for my 85-year-old dad when he needs it, but most of the time the kids and grandkids are there to use it and pick up all the fallen apples and pears for him. I wish it felt more sturdy, but it's been overworked and is still going strong. For as much as we've used it, I will always own one!!!

Turns A Tedious Job Into (Almost) Fun
The media could not be loaded. About 30 years ago, I acquired the property where I now live. There is a big wooded hillside behind it. And that hillside is covered with black walnut trees.Starting in August, my backyard trees start dropping walnuts all over the place. And they are not walnuts like you see in the baking aisle of the supermarket, all shelled and cleaned and bagged. No, my walnuts are like green tennis balls. Big enough to damage my mower blades. And definitely big enough to cause someone to twist an ankle or worse. If left on the ground, in a few days the walnuts turn black and speckle the yard with rot.So the fallen walnuts have to be picked up.If this does not sound like that much work to you, it is because you have not done it. I have walnuts by the hundred, my friend. Each one requiring a bending-over-and-throwing-in-a-bucket action. It gets old very quickly. I have tried hiring kids to do it, but even with a sliding scale pay incentive they quickly get sick of the job, too. Then along came a miracle product that almost makes the job fun. It’s called Nut Wizard. And it is absolutely ingenious. When I first got mine last year, I was so excited I would actually take the simple device along with a couple of walnuts on visits to friends. I just had to show them.I compare it to a magician doing a sleight of hand trick. One second there is a walnut on the ground. The next it is inside the Nut Wizard’s rolling cage. I can pick up 50 walnuts in a couple of minutes. This year I have gathered more than three large wheelbarrows full of walnuts with this clever tool.I even made a video to show you how it works. And even if you do not have a walnut problem at your house I think you will enjoy watching. At the very least it is a perfect demonstration of what now passes for entertainment in our pandemic ravaged world.

Five Stars PLUS
I wish I could give this thing more than five stars! We live in the country and don't rake our leaves so under our walnut trees is a mixture of leaves, walnuts, sticks, just country debris. I wanted to harvest nuts to use in baking this Christmas but didn't want to lean over and pick them up. I know, Lazy. Sooo, I bought this contraption and started running it over the walnuts I could see (that weren't hidden under leaves) and it just sucks them right in so then I just started running it over top the leaves and hear they came! Sure, it pulled a few leaves up with them but it mostly chopped the leaves up so they just fell out and I was left with the walnuts. I never right reviews but I had to on this one. If you are lazy like me and don't want to keep bending over to pick them up, this is your gadget!

Time and back saver
This thing is great! I purchased it for my father who has a gigantic black walnut tree in his backyard. It does a great job picking up the fallen nuts. It’s important to not expect perfection, it isn’t a Hoover. It took a week for someone to finally google how to use the nut-getter-outer part, but it’s surprisingly simple and effective. I feel like using one a size smaller would help pick up some of the smaller nuts and pieces the bigger one misses, but overall I am very satisfied with the time and labor this saves.
