Don't Ask Hardcover – April 1, 1993

This series is my relaxer - it makes me laugh, shake my head in wonder, and just enjoy reading. Need more writers like this.

Not as formulaic as your average Parker novel, and just as enjoyable. The plot is ingenious and funny, and as always it's written with wit and a great command of language. I fully recommend it.

If you have any affinity with NYC, you will derive enormous pleasure from any of Westlake's Dortmunder mysteries. These books are pure entertainment; great mysteries (of course one always cheers for Dortmunder and his gang), very, very funny, and marvelous truisms in Westlake's satire. Just great!!I particularly like "Don't Ask" because I actually learned a number of new facts about New York. Don't miss "Don't Ask"!

Donald Westlake has done it again. He's written another Dortmunder novel that leaves you giggling for hours after you finally put it down. Was there ever such an inept villain? A man that works so hard to achieve the great scam, but always seems to end up with the fuzzy end of the lollypop.Personally. just once, I want Donald to actually let him win, but win ot lose, Dortmunder is my hero! Long may he reign as the king of inept burglars!

A great history lesson. Most of the items in the book were new to me but you have to consider I live in a small town in the East. I have already recommended it to my friends in Texas

Another well written and complex Dortmunder saga. Westlake keeps coming up with excellent misadventures for the Dortmunder string to expertly plan and bumble through.

I'd read the book before years ago and wanted to catch up with Dortmunder and the gang one more time. This is typical Westlake which is always a good thing.

easy peasy, everything good, would buy from again.
