Q: Is this worth the punt? Its super cheap compared to other listings on Amazon but I need something reliable that is going to last so please advise

I'm writing this on the 2013 MacBook Air which has been given a new lease of life thanks to this battery. It took about 15 minutes to fit and that was because I was taking my time! How long will it last? No idea but it seems fine so far.

There is a list of which years it is compatible with Mine is 2015 and was perfect very easy to change

Q: Do I take off plastic cover on four batteries

If you mean off the actual battery, no, please do not do that. Take the bottom panel off using the enclosed screwdrivers, once off unscrew and disconnect old battery and lift it out. Take the new battery and line it up inside the battery bay and install the screws to secure it inside and connect the battery using the connector. Put the bottom panel back on and screw that down then you should be done, but I can’t stress enough do not dismantle the battery, it’s a complete unit. If you need more guidance I recommend iFixIt site for further instruction on how to replace the battery if my instructions weren’t clear
