Very Simple to set up, worked within seconds
Worked Instantly, zero issues very simple set up as advertised.I just had to plug the router into Socket 1, plug in its own power cord, the put everything else with an ethernet cable into the remaining 2-8 Sockets and boom, back to High Speed internet. The design of it also works extremely well, if you set it up and powered it correctly each port that you plug in should have a small Green light to show you're good to go.The ONE issue that could show up however is the Power Cord it ships with is 5ft long, that could lead to some issues if you need a longer cord, though in my case it was perfect.

Helps conserve Wi-Fi bandwidth and provides dependable connections
If you need more ethernet receptacles, this is excellent. Don't worry about the "unmanaged" language--I just plugged one into my Wi-Fi router and plugged my Roku, PS5, XBOX 1, TV, lead to my upstairs mesh router via conduit, and several other items into it. It relieves the problem of taking up Wi-Fi bandwidth.

Netgear 8 port gigabit switch
I love these small Netgear switches. Perfect for adding additional ethernet ports with gigabit speed. On sale for less than $30 each! Can't beat that for an 8 port gigabit switch! The only brand I buy for managed or unmanaged switches.

Good switch good price
No complaints on switch. I don't have a way to verify throughput but seems good. Quiet. Easy setup

Lights and ethernet ports seem backwards compared to other switches.
I needed an 8 port gigabit ethernet switch for my home office after accidentally frying one with the wrong power adapter. This sets up in a minute and works well. Only complaint is my other switches had the cable connections on the rear and activity lights on a front panel. This switch has the cable sockets and lights on the rear, and the power socket on the front? I ended up turning it around and upside down so I can see if each port is active or not.

Nice swtich for a resonable price!
My providers router only has 4 ports. I needed more to run through the basement to other rooms. I only needed 4 ports. It is nice knowing I still have 4 left for future proofing.Nice and compact for my use. Speed seems decent and reliable. So far, no issues.Would buy again if needed.

Totally functions and clicking away perfectly
Totally functional and clicking away right now as I write this review.... Buy it if you want one.... 8 ports are great but 5 ports are limited as you might expand your needs.....
