A lot of people take L ARGININE for the PUMP pre and after workouts. There is an awful lot of info out there about taking it also in enormous quantities for heightened performance. All of that is fine and probably effective but I don't really like loading in huge amounts of supplements at onvce just to achieve short term goals pf vanity. What i like about this amino acid is how it can lower blood pressure and help clear arteries as well as assist in increasing the effectiveness of other supplements as well as prolonging anti oxidant action. This brand and mechanism is the right one for people who want to use it for HEALTH and LONGEVITY and A FEELING OF WELL BEING- NOT FOR PUMPS IN THE GYM. Although I will say I do see and feel the L ARG hardness in my muscles with solid vein visibility also- but if you take this twice a day for prolonged periods you are really going to improve your health massively- SUSTAINED RELEASE is the ONLY WAY TO REALLY GO WITH L ARGININE - SO HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT TRULY

Have to admit, at first this supplement scared me badly! I took one dose right before bed, and was kept awake with horrible heart palpitations!After some research, I found out that L-arginine slightly lowers potassium levels in the blood. I decided to continue, and make sure I had fruit and veggies with each meal or snack, no exceptions.Soon my body adjusted, and I do not have be so strict anymore. In fact, it helps me sleep a little better now.Overall, my biggest selling point on it though, is that it quickly lowered my blood pressure about 10-15 points so far. It's been enough that the doctor decided not to put me on meds for it, and I'm hoping it will continue to drop a little more to normal.

I first heard about L-Arginine as a natural alternative to ED medication. As I aged, high blood pressure, also, became an issue. However, BP medications were not working well enough. My numbers have much improved by adding Sustained-Release L-Arginine to my BP medication. I take my Rx med in the morning and an L-Arginine in the afternoon and again before bedtime. It might work for you, but everybody is different. Check with your doctor.

I agree with another observer that these are larger than most and can be difficult to swallow without one's throat closing up. They are not smooth so I tried swallowing with a teaspoon of yogurt and a swallow of milk--while that usually works, I just had one episode of severe spasm causing the milk to come back up and I suspect the tablet went down--was frightening. Wish there was a sustained release form that could be cut in half.

I love this brand. When taken consistently it lowers blood pressure. It’s doesn’t lower drastically but you will see a difference.

These work. Increased blood flow in all the right places if you know what I mean. Not a ED cure but helps to get some youth back. Also I generally feel better. Family has a history of bad heart disease but I am clear at 42. Diet, exercise and this is my secret. Everyone else has had issues by 40. Been taking this for 10 years or so.

According to WebMD.com there are lot of health benefits of taking L-Arginine.* wound healing* helping the kidneys remove waste products from the body* maintaining immune and hormone function* improve blood flow in the arteries of the heart.There were also articles on how it could lower cholesterol although those studies are not conclusive. So I thought I will give it a try. I asked my endocrinologist about it and she said there is no harm done in taking it, but effect may vary. I have used Doctor's Best products before and so order these although these are more expensive than other brands out there.
