Palmetto Pool Filter Sand for Residential & Commercial Sand Filter Pumps, 50 Lbs

I bought this for my aquarium. I prefer sand substrate and wanted a naturally lightly colored sand. I’ve bought white sand from pet stores before and it just looks artificial. Some reviews said they didn’t have to rinse it for their aquarium, so I didn’t. I did leave the water slightly cloudy for a day until I could polish the fine particles out of the water column. Not that big of a deal, just don’t expect crystal clear water immediately after adding this sand. Has a good weight to it, I’m able to use my gravel vacuum just fine. It’s not sharp sand so my corydoras can sift through it without hurting their barbels. I definitely recommend this sand for aquarium use, and I’m sure it works just fine in a pool filter.

Based on the many positive reviews by other customers, I chose this pool filter sand to use as the 2" top layer in my 20 gallon long aquarium. It was just the right texture and was very clean (no dust at all). I'm very happy with the product for my intended use.

I purchased this to fill the stand for my punching bag. It arrived as promised, the bags were intact as they were very sturdy plastic. The sand has a nice granular feel, no odor and I am very pleased. It flowed freely, the color is as oromised.

Worked wonders for my aquarium.

This is great for white aquarium sand, and is pretty easy to wash, but if you want a less intense color you may want to look at quickrete for a tan, and medium grit black diamond blasting sand for a black.

Was cloudy for 1 day but relly good sand i have a 75 gallon tank its perfect its cheap and great.

I used this product for topping a dirted aquarium. I rinsed it prior and found it contained few fines. I can recommend this product if that is your purpose.

I have a 18X36 foot Intex above-ground pool and it is equipped with a sand filter. I used this sand when I originally installed the pool. I changed sand, as part of annual maintenance. I used a different type, and it was awful. I ended up going back to this sand this year. It just works better. I'll stick with this brand from now on.
