Not as pictured.
I have a V1.5 which does not have the pot on the back to adjust the contrast. additionally for my application I cannot get to the clock input on the chip as it seems to be potted. There are no definitive data sheets available for this specific model that address the contrast adjustment. It's making my project nearly impossible since there are about 500 variations of this type of LCD. I shouldn't need an external controller as the ST7920 should be capable of handling the line change pulse.

Works as expected.
First off, if you plan on using this display with an Arduino, make sure you have a pin header of at least 20 pins, and that your soldering skills are up to par. The display does not include pin headers.Second of all, I couldn’t get it working on the first try, but I quickly realized that I had wired one of the data lines as “high” instead of “low”. And so after rewiring my circuit and adjusting the contrast (there is a little potentiometer on the back), I got it to work with no issues. I used the U8G2 Arduino library to test the display with, but the display will also work with any other library that supports the ST7920 chipset.I look forward to working more with this awesome little display.
