It does what it says.
It works. Checked it with an EMF meter.

It does seem to do what it claims...
I tested it with a TriField gaussmeter and the reading did not increase at all from ambient levels. I never tested it with my RF meter because I use my laptop with ethernet (and you should too if you are trying to reduce exposure).By the way, don't make the mistake I made for many years...use a SHIELDED ethernet cable and GROUND it by using conductive tape (not aluminum tape - the adhesive is not conductive) Here is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097HC9HR7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1. It is SO simple to do. If you have the ethernet cable connected to an ethernet over powerline device you will likely have body voltage north of 40 VOLTS which completely defeats the purpose of using ethernet in the first place (if you're doing it for health reasons). Just connect a small piece of the tape to all the gold plated connectors that are plugged into the switch or router and use a gator to ground plug into a grounded outlet in order to ground all electrical fields - IF your home or apartment is properly grounded, that is.Anyway, back to the product. It seems to work. However, there was a really nasty chemical smell (probably from the glue connecting the padding to the mat). It took about 1-2 months to fully go away, and the mat is not completely evenly connected to the mat, so that was a little sloppy. I'll be nice though and I won't deduct a star for that. If you get one that's been sitting in the warehouse a little longer, it's possible all the glue will have off gassed by then. The product does seem a bit pricey but you really can't go wrong with it as it is a nice size, fairly comfortable with good grip, and it really does block 99.99% of ELF. If that's very important to you, I'd say it's well worth it. Most if not all competitors' products only block 80-90%. I'd recommend paying 30-40 dollars more for FULL protection - stop cheaping out on yourself and just BUY IT already!Good luck!-Mark

An EMF protection product that actually works!
I am a pretty heavy computer user. I run three small businesses and constantly have my laptop with me and it’s usually on. I was discussing the dangers of EMF exposure with a good friend of mine who happens to be an electrical engineer by trade and who has children that use their laptops and ipads on their laps for hours at a time. Of course being very concerned about frequent EMF exposure, he told them not to put them directly in their laps, but they still did. So he went on the internet to find something to protect his kids, but instead found mostly nonsense products. (buttons, pendants, stickers, USB plugs, pads, sleeves and all this other garbage that doesn’t doing anything to shield radiation emissions) He explained to me that when he spoke with any of these companies, he found little to no evidence that their devices actually work, nor could they substantiate their outrageous claims.Being technically minded and having some electrical engineering training I am inclined to believe his experiences and we agreed to help one another with this dilemma. Which brings me to the Defenderpad. I happened to find this product while searching for EMF protection products and suggested that my friend give them a call since he knows more about the subject than I. He didn’t mention that he was an electrical engineer, because we wanted to hear exactly what they had do say. What set this company apart was when he spoke with them, they knew exactly what they were talking about and described believable physics. So we went ahead and bought one and decided to do a little testing together. We mimicked their independent testing environment as closely as possible with the tools available to us by testing the shielding for very low frequencies up to very high frequencies using my friends isolation chamber. I won’t bore you with the details, but we were able to confirm their shielding effectiveness. In fact, our testing showed that they did better than their claims. We also noticed the ambient RF within the room around the DefenderPad was less than the surrounding area (a desirable feature they do not claim). We also looked at their patent and were able to understand why they could shield such a wide range of frequencies so effectively. All I can tell you is that I feel safer using the Defenderpad. I strongly recommend it. Before buying EMF products, please make sure that the companies provide you with some sort of proof their product works. I didn’t realize how many charlatans were out there on the internet before I began this journey and it’s kind of scary.
