Works great.
Very sensitive, works at a great distance. One unexpected behavior though, if you center the magnetic plate directly beside the center of the sensor plate, then you start sliding them apart, you get 2 signals, like it stats closed, opens, closes again, then opens. If you don't want 2 pulses, you just have to offset them when initially mounting in the first place.

Easy to install alarm contact for overhead garage door
Works great on an overhead garage door. I connected it directly to the wireless transmitter on my alarm system. It resolved an intermittent issue I had been having with the original OHD contact.

Great Garage Door Switch
I'm using this to replace the magnetic switch that I was using it came with "lomota Smart WiFi Garage Door Opener Remote, Tuya Smart Life App Control, Work with Google Assistant and Alexa, Multiple Notification Modes, No Hub Needed" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086MKP14K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I bought the Ionota Device in August 2021 and have been using is ever since. I programed it to close the garage door if it has been left open more than 10 minutes. That worked fine until recently when the magnetic switch quit working. The Ionota device was seeing the garage door as open and sending a signal to close it which was actually opening it. I didn't recognize right away that the magnetic switch was the problem.Since I've replaced it with this switch I have not had any problems (01/21/2024).I've uploaded a picture on how I mounted it. I found the instructions that came with the switch surprisingly lacking any instructions on how to mount it so I hope my picture helps.I read a review when looking to buy this where they had a picture of they mounted this device. If it hadn't been for that picture I probably wouldn't have bought it.Any it works great and seems heavy duty. I expect it to continue working for many years.

Worth every penny, stop fighting with getting a good install from the cheapos
These are great once you figure out how to mount it on the overhead door track. The instructions are non-existent. The key piece of information you need to know is that the bolt head mysteriously protruding from the top of the reed switch assembly needs to be tightened down after you loosely clamp the assembly and the L-bracket that screws onto it around the track. It is impossible to clamp those 2 pieces around the track tightly enough to hold it in place. But when you tighten that bolt down, it presses against the curved part of the bracket and bends it down against the track. Without knowing that, you are pointlessly trying to figure out how to get the reed switch assembly and the L-bracket that screws onto it to squeeze around the track tightly enough to hold it on.I am a cheapskate and have always used the little plastic reed switches and spent tons of time finding ways to mount them, but now that I have used these, I'm done with that. I immediately bought a 2nd one for my other overhead door. Are they ridiculously overpriced for what they are? Yes. Should you buy them anyway? Absolutely! Because the alternatives stink.

Solid hardy unit, works well with slide gate. Poor instructions.
I replaced a yolink door sensor magnet with this much hardier substantial magnet. On an exterior commercial slide gate. Working very well. Good distance detection for the magnet which allowed wind movement of the gate to not create false alerts. Minimal to no instructions.

Useless junk design don't buy it
Comes with no specification or instruction or any info on the company that makes it. I google it looking for installation instructions and it states to mount it on top of the garage door but not how, a picture would have helped on how to do that. But if you look at the design it looks like you can mount it on the garage track. the curve on the switch is too small to fit the curve of my track. the metal sleeve looks like it is supposed to clamp it in place but sits at an angle if you tighten the screw it opens more and will not grip the track. Lastly, it doesn't say what is the purpose of that screw in the middle of itI lost my $28 because my current switch started to work again and didn't need to be replaced until a year later after I bought it.
