Allison Gasket Materiel-Cork- 1/16"

Love it

I used this to make custom coaster bottoms. I cut them with a CNC router using a low track spray adhesive to hold it in place. Worked perfectly. Very clean cuts, no cracking or splitting.I recommend using a low tack adhesive like Krylon Easy Tack. Anything stronger might cause tearing.I've now bought 3 rolls of this cork. All were very good, no cracks or blemishes. A great product.

It is very dry and crumbles. Mine started falling apart when I took the piece of tape off that held it rolled up. It was a waste of money for me. It may work for others.

I've purchased cork gasket material before and never experienced such poor quality. Even with an brand new X Acto blade this material crumbles instead of allowing itself to be cut. I did cut it with scissors and assembled the components however this material squeezed out and crumbled. I took everything apart and went to Autozone and purchased their 1/16" thick cork gasket material and had no problems. I've been a mechanic since the 60's so I've made a fair share of gaskets in my life, so believe me when I say STAY AWAY from this garbage.

I didn't bother returnign the roll, but I wish I hadn't purchased it. It's way too thin, tears so easily, too fragile. I don't think it would hold up to any type of oil or moisture whatsoever.

crumbles poor quality and they wrap tape around it.and when removing the tape, it tears it apart.
