Excellent for the price.
Purchased 2 of these cameras to spy on our 2 month old twins, the image quality is excellent. I primarily use it at night in a near dark room and the night visions is also excellent. Only a few reasons for not giving it 5 stars. 1, you are only able to view 1 camera at a time (surely this could be fixed at an application level and sent out as an update). 2, when viewing through the firestick it always buffers (this is due to how its setup to go through servers and not stream directly to the amazon device, not sure if this could he fixed). All in all I cant complain for the price, I will definitely stay with this brand for future purchases of outdoor units.

Great camera - simple to use and works well with Echo Show
This is my second Netvue camera (the first one being the Home Cam which doesn't have the pan and tilt feature but is a little bit cheaper). As with the first one, setting this one up is a doddle and it was in and connected to my Echo Show (first generation) within 10 minutes or so. One thing - as with all these devices and more (smart plugs etc) they are looking for a 2.4g wireless connection, not 5g, so make sure you are connecting to the right one and even turn off 5g on your router if you aren't sure.Image quality is identical to my Home Cam, which is very good indeed. They picture I've attached is out of out living room to cover our front door which is a bit of a nightmare to film out of because of horrible reflections with the glass window and the porch, but as you can see I still get a decent picture despite the hazards. Night recording is more than adequate for me - it's not amazing but you wouldn't expect it to be at this price point. For recording you can either insert a sd card or you have the option of subscribing to their cloud service. I haven't yet gone for the cloud service - for me basically it's more of a visible deterrent to anyone approaching the front door. For motion detection there's a useful feature which allows you to select from 9 zones on the screen, so you can avoid movement in one half for example. The Netvue app is very decent too, certainly a lot better than the cheap no-name Chinese ones I've previously had. Control of the camera, including the pan and tilt, is dead easy and there's fairly minimal delay between the real time events and the images on the app or on my Echo Show. The pan and tilt is a little bit on the slow side for me but that's really nitpicking as 99% of the time I'll have it in a fixed position anyway. In conclusion then I think this is a great little camera - easy to use and the fact that I can view the images alongside my other one in the same app, or on my Echo Show screen, was the clincher for me. If you are in the market for a reasonably priced Alexa compatible camera then I'd recommend this one.

NETVUE 1080P Security Camera First Impressions
I first found out about NETVUE when during a break a work colleague passed around her phone watching her two dogs playing in the lounge. I was very impressed with the clarity of the images and that she could 'talk' to her dogs whilst we watched. Naughty dogs! Playing when mummy works.I soon bought one and was impressed by the compact size and 7 foot cord for mains plug. It has a wide stable base and setup was not difficult once I realised that I had to type in the WIFI password in order to complete setup.I think that in hindsight, I need to watch a few YouTube videos to set up the more advanced features as I want the NETVUE to monitor my home as well as my dog. I love the way I can Pan the camera and zoom with my fingers on the phone app.

Good n bad points
Great little gadget for watching the baby room... not sure why it needs to do an overly loud jingle when it starts up after connecting the plug (very annoying when baby is sleeping or seconds away from the land of nod)There is Limited surround vision and does not do 360 degree 180 tops and able to look up and down. Its able to zoom in quite close and has its moments of when it does or doesn't want to connect on demand to the wifi so restarting the app helps to restart it.Nice and clear vision and love the automatic night mode. The speaker is very muffled and not too clear, sounds like a robot speaking through a pillow (not very comforting when trying to sing to baby over the monitor)

Go Netvue, you can't go wrong!
Loving Netvue products right now. This is my 2nd camera, after getting the basic static position 1080 spot camera. Both work perfectly for my requirements, adding smart security to the house but without breaking the bank. The 1080 Orb camera in particular is superb, the range of motion is great, almost 360 degrees and 180 degrees up and down. We are still experimenting with finding the best position for this, but currently the hallway is the chosen spot. We can choose, remotely using the app, to view the front porch or the inner hall. The motion detection works really well. I couldn't ask for more. I've set it up to only send a motion alert during the hours of 11pm and 7am, to reduce chance of false alerts and because of recent burglaries in the area. Usually my phone is on silent at night, but you can override notification settings for Android to make sure Netvue is not silenced. That way I can jump up out of bed if an issue. Luckily, it hasn't gone off yet apart from my testing! Plus with the additional $20 per year service (you get 14 day free trial) Netvue store the motion clips in the cloud so you can watch them back again on your phone, this works really well.On our Amazon Fire TV, I can say 'Alexa, show me my living room' and it will call Netvue then show me the camera view on my TV. It responds very quickly, from command you see the picture within maybe 10 seconds. The only slight drawback is I seem to get some buffering on the view on our bedroom TV, but I think this might be a home WiFi issue. The living room TV and Fire tablet work perfect, and would work perfectly for a baby monitor which I might repurpose one of the cameras for later this year.Would highly recommend one of these, for the amount of kit it is superb value. I was looking at many providers before going with Netvue, I was looking for value, Alexa compatibility, reliability, a good picture, and Netvue delivered on all. Buy one 🎥
