Q: Everything I read about the new Raspberry Pi 2 said that it would cost $35. What is this one $46?

Right now, for $36 and free shipping, you can't beat this price. It's over $40 from the Pi foundation and MCM.....Supply and Demand is why it's $46.....the Zero is probably selling for that right now and if it's worth $46 to get a $5 product *NOW*...then the supply is there...possibly...that thing *is* elusive.

Q: Does this come with the power adapter?

No, but you can use any android phone charger as a power adapter, or a kindle fire charger would also work fine too.

Q: Whats the maximum sized SD card it can take. Im hoping for atleast 64GB?

Theoretically it can take any size. You just have to make sure that the card is formatted as FAT32. The 64GB card I used for mine wasn't pre-formatted as FAT32 so I had to do it myself, which turned out to be quite a pain. The Windows formatting utility doesn't allow you to format anything over 32GB as FAT32, because the maximum file size for FAT32 is 4GB, and I guess they don't want you running into issues with this. I had to download a 3rd party utility to do it. There are quite a few of them out there.

Q: Does this play videos from an external storage drive in mp4 and mov formats?

Technically speaking, you're always playing stuff from external storage since the raspberry doesn't have internal storage. This means you can play anything from external storage. The raspberry has more than one usb port, which means you can load the OS from one drive and play media from another.
