Nice book

I bought this to help diagnose the "check engine" light and slow power windshields on my '01 Camry LE Gallery Edition. It's very detailed for most powertrain issues, but the manual does not have accurate directions for removing the door panels on my particular model.In any case, between this manual, google, and a code reader I was able to clear the "check engine" light - it was likely some carbon buildup on the variable switching valve of the emissions control, which is a fairly common issue with this model Camry. Cleared that out with some seafoam, but I am confident this manual would have seen me through if I'd needed to replace the VSV myself.As stated above, I couldn't get detailed enough direction on removing the door panels to replace the power windshield apparatus.

If you can read and reason with manual dexterity then this manual will help you make repairs. I'm female and I have no problem following this to make repairs or just even be able to diagnosis and narrow down problems I am encountering with my car. I have owned a Haynes manual for every make of car I have ever owned. Not only can you save a TON of money on doing it your self. If the job is too much you can look up parts and cost and still save by price comparison knowing what the non labor costs could be. The more knowledge you have the more options.

98 toyota avalon xls.this book was made for lower end models so the electrical harness diagram was a pain in the butt to understand since it was slightly different.I would not recommend using this book to rewire the car radio.-radio DELCO Model 16234499-car has external amplifier-radio is a unbalanced output to the external amplifier and not your typical balanced output (ex: from the radio only FL,FR,RL,RR not FL+,FL-,RL+,RL-,RR+,RR-). So to install an non OEM radio it either has to have a unbalanced output or if you buy one with a balanced output, you must open up the passenger side dash and hook up your speaker lines to the output of the external amplifier that is hooked to the speaker. it was a pain.I was able to do simple things research using this book.-oil change-tire rotation-stud change-replacing headlightsmy car is at 170,000 miles and still working great.
