This is an awesome product. I have been using it to backup my android phone to a hard drive. The file browsing works seemlessly and file transfer is fast.I have also been using the USB -c port on my laptop and this to speed up my wired internet connection. This allows 2 simultaneously connected ethernet cables from different providers.This device is solid and well built. The cable is robust and feels secure. There are blue LEDs when the usb-c is connected. This does mean it will draw power if connected to a phone.Works really well 5 stars

I am amazed by the performance of this little adapter! Using WiFi on my 2017 MacBook Pro I am able to get 43 mbps but with this adapter I can get 72 mbps which is 97% of my line speed - and that's through 2 network switches and a long network cable! It worked great from the start, and I didn't need to do anything - it was plug and play! As well as this the 3 USB ports come in very handy for connecting other peripherals. Very handy device to have for high performance circumstances!

Used this for an Android phone, tried to get better internet speeds but Android systems didn't seem to understand Ethernet (although the speed was slightly higher but it fluctuates anyway) possibly something that could be fixed with some developer settings. I mainly use this for a USB hub as having one type C isn't the best design for which this is perfect.

The performance of this little adapter is really impressive. I am using this on MacBook Pro to connect to a router and I can get really good throughput. Double the throughput I was getting over a WiFi connection. Excellent for streaming. It is also simply plug and play. No fuss, no bother. The extra 3 USB ports are very useful for connecting to my phone and usb sticks. Excellent value for money.

I have a mix of USB micro and C devices which can be a real pain. This device makes bridging the gap between them really easy. Works perfectly with my Razer phone to allow easy moving of files onto a memory stick. When plugged into my PC it provides an extra 3 USB3 ports which have functioned perfectly, as had the LAN port.

works and does what its mean to do. so... although after 1 month of use my Mac battery died off... I wonder if using a new device that probably does not regulate the current as the original one has something to do with or batteries just die from time to time. Never happened with any of the previous macs I had, including my 10 years old iphone.

Do not buy this. It doesn't fit into the thunderbolt 3 port on the MacBook Air, and therefore does not connect/work at all.See photo.

Light flashes when you plug it into MacBook Pro, however no ports are recognised and the ethernet doesn't work either. Waste of money!
