In love
This thing is great it's a perfect size it has a wonderful weight to it it's fully metal and it does exactly what it's supposed to do what more could you want? Extremely easy to use it's made out of metal so obviously it's sturdy and from everything form of verification/calibration I have, it is accurate!! It's functionally a lifesaver lol just a few days before buying this I had bought another one at about half price that was all plastic and I really love that one it was also great but here's the difference and what makes this one worth twice the money even if it wasn't made out of stainless steel, it measures two places past the decimal point in millimeters!! That is A BIG DEAL or at least it is to me and make my own lock pics and turning tools as well as make alterations to "store bought" tools and it is an absolute must have at least if you want to rid yourself fear doubt and anxiety of removing too much material this is absolutely my favorite toy ever!! Can't recommend them enough even if your doing some "real" or serious jobs that require/demand precision. The box it's comes with is also pretty nice tho, I don't think the pieces that keep it closed will last long because the hing for them is made out of the flash from the molding process so it's so thin you can see through it. If you're not familiar with molding or the term, flash or flashing is the excess plastic that will squeeze out of the mold sometimes it's very thin and is usually just brushed off or removed by hand once the item is removed from the mold just about everyone has seen it before whether they realize it or not and it is a bit thicker than average flashing would be but still I don't imagine it lasting very long so unless I'm actually transporting it I don't snap them shut if it's just going to be laying where it's at and occasionally opened up used and then replaced I just leave it lying with the tabs unclasped to prevent unnecessary wear and tear hopefully extending their life. And if/when they do happen to break your average size rubber band is more than efficient to fix the issue. But even if this didn't come with a box at all I would still be thrilled and be leaving the same review also it comes as a small screwdriver which is Handy and a couple extra batteries. If you need precision measurements buy this thing!!

Should have bought it sooner
I have owned “old school” dial calipers for probably 40 years. After buying and using these new digital calipers, all I can say is I should have bought them a long time ago. Great value for the money. Build quality of the calipers themselves is great and same for the case. The ability to switch between metric, fractional and inch measurements on the fly is a game changer. The LCD display is large and very easy to read.I do not use calipers on a regular basis but I do recommend this product.

Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertised and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

The same Chinese calipers you see everywhere; they do work
There are YouTube videos out there showing teardowns of these; they are the same calipers sold under many different brand names. That said, they do work and they are accurate. No one ever seems to complain about that and mine are very accurate too. 0 is always exactly 0; measurements check out with other measuring devices I have. There is a flaw in the board inside them that drains the batteries really quickly; essentially the battery is always being drained even when the caliper is off. That's why they give you an extra couple of batteries. The only way around this is to remove the battery if you don't plan on using the calipers for a while, or modify the board if you're handy with a soldering iron. Or buy something else, but make sure it's not the same design, and that can be difficult.I guess one complaint I would have other than that is that the arms of the calipers are all metal and kind of sharp. You have to be careful if you're measuring something you don't want to scratch. I would have preferred if they came with some kind of plastic or rubber cover for the arms. This particular set comes with basically everything else, but not that. You can probably buy something that would fit these separately, but it'd be nice if they were included. I usually just use a cloth or something, and zero out the calipers by measuring the cloth's thickness first. Then I wrap whatever I'm measuring in the cloth and measure as normal.

Works great
Works great for what i need it for. I initially bought it just to check the OD and ID of the drain pipe under our laundry room sink, but ended up bringing it to work instead. Compared to our jobs "high tech" "expensive ones. It works just fine at checking the OD and ID as well as perforations on plastic pipe. Size wise, it's good enough for a bit over 4 inches. The small screen on it is pretty easy to read as well and the screw on top keeps it locked in place fairly well when you dont want it to slide too much.
