If you are using the keystone plate with a very thin walk or a single port plate then it should work well. I wanted to use a 3 port plate however this keystone insert does not extend deep enough from the plate to clear the drywall. I tried using a 6 position plate so that I could place the RJ45 and HDMI keystone's in one column and this USB keystone in the middle or top row of the second column. This did not work because the keystone is also not deep enough to clear a blank insert. I ended up ordering a straight through insert.

It was a perfect solution for the application. Our USB web camera cable was fished down a wall and connected to the Keystone 90 degree connection point at the wall plate with no issues. There was no stress on the USB web camera cable at all. The product is well priced.

Once mounted on a face plate, the USB port coming out the bottom rear is to close to the drywall, and the connector runs up against the drywall. Ends up being a very tight fit. Will not work if you have double drywall unless you remove a layer. I had no other option as I live in a condo and the walls are not the standard thickness. An ‘in-line’ connector would not work.
