Win11 compatible
I had another cable that stopped working when I upgraded to Windows 11. I got this one and it worked right away. It seems a robust cable. Bonus is that the electronics housing is see-through, so you can see flashing lights and a bit of the electronics.BTW, I'm using it with an Alinco DR-605 (quite old) and a TYT TH-9000D, both of which are ham radios.

Worked on my Icom IC-2730
Nicely made, great price. I used it to program my Icon IC-2730 with CHIRP. No issues.

Worked Great
Worked well with my Icom-2730. The only issue was that I had to manually download the FTDI driver. That took a few minutes extra, just head down to the FTDIchip website and download the one you need. Going to probably pick up new cable for my Yaesu soon.

Well Now, that was easy
So, before I start this I should say, I already had a FTDI cable installed for my BaoFeng. But I needed on for my ICOM 2730a. Of course the ends are different. I am sure there are ways to make it work, but the way my shack is laid out moving the cable is also a pain. I tinkered around with the existing cable for a bit, and then just dropped a few bucks on this new one. This arrived today. I plugged it in the computer, and took note of the comport it assigned (each FTDI cable has its own port, com6 and com10 in my case). I plugged the other end into spkr2 on the icom, and hit download in CHIRP. Just like that. about 3 minutes end to end. Now admittedly, I skipped all the drive nonsense, because I already had that installed for the other cable - but is just worked. I'll com e back here and adjust this review if I have and subsequent issues. The cable itself is a bit longer than all my others, which is nice, and a bit larger in diameter. It is very very flexible, and has colorful lights in the USB end for status. It is a very nice cable.I would recommend this. In particular, not alot of cables specifically call out the ICOM 2730a as comparable (including this one), but it works, with no issues.
