Update:The Company contacted me after my review about not loving this machine. I wish I had reached out to them in the first place for direction, because the communication with them was beyond stellar. With suggestions and links to troubleshooting issues I was having, including videos for me to watch, they were more than willing to help me understand the machine better in hopes I would love it.I can say, with their help (even after reading the manual to begin with), I am feeling much better about the vacuum!/mop.I was quick to compare it to my previous vacuum, and that was unfair as they are entirely different machines - I realize that now, and shouldn’t expect them to be identical.Thank You again to Jade for reaching out and patiently working with me and helping me see that this vacuum has a lot to offer! Read through the book. And I still hate it.I’m not IT Smart, but I do take the time to read the basics on new appliances that I get for my home.With the cost of things, I like to make sure I am understanding and treating my machines properly for the most effective results.I didn’t have the chance to set up/use it until a few days before the days ran out for me to return it, and I didn’t feel like I had given it a fair chance-so I kept messing with it and running it … or I would have absolutely returned it, but time ran out. Shame on me.It doesn’t empty on its own when it docks (for me) - even though I have the option to empty up to 4 times per App settings) after completing a run, I have to manually empty it.It is constantly plugged up and I don’t realize it until it’s been emptied (or I thought it emptied) and I’ve started to run it again (often days later) and see hair packed in the back where it empties out to the canister (and I empty the dumb thing every single time it is used, sometimes twice).It is quiet, but that makes me feel like the suction power isn’t there.The “latch onto a cord and drag it around” on items you have sitting on the floor (ie fan) still happens, even when the cord is tucked securely in a corner.It does a decent enough job picking up hair and dirt from hardwood, but there is more I don’t like about it than I do.I am 100% sure after learning how the vacuum part alone works, I will certainly not be using the Mop option.I like to think all of the reviews are honest on this vacuum, but I cannot for the life of me understand how. That has not been my experience.Oh well. You live and learn.

The media could not be loaded. We have been wanting a robot vacuum for a long time now as we have a golden retriever and it is almost impossible to keep up with the amount of hair he sheds. This vacuum has been great. The lidar detection works really well and we are continuously surprised by its ability to avoid objects and maneuver around. The directions are not as clear as they could be, but I realized this is partially because the vacuum is pretty much plug and play. When you turn it on and open up the app it pretty much does everything for you. It begins mapping your house immediately without you needing to do anything. The mapping within the app is really nice, you can go in and name rooms, split rooms apart, and setup no go zones for mopping or for vacuuming and mopping. The app also lets you select different ways to clean, whether that’s by room, by zone or auto. The vacuum itself works great and is designed to get in every nook and cranny. You can set your suction on a few different settings, we have ours on high since there is so much dog hair in our house. A few downsides of the vacuum is that if you do have a lot of dog hair like us you are going to deal with your brush getting tangled in hair, if you check it regularly you should be able to deal with it. Additionally because of the amount of dog hair we have needed to empty the collector more often. We let it clean our entire bottom floor when we first got it and it got clogged because there was too much hair for the station to suck out when it docked. However, there is an option in the app to send the vacuum to dust collect whenever you want to help avoid this. The additional mopping feature is one of the reasons we chose this vacuum, where it is nice it does not work quite as well as I would like it to. It definitely mops but I would consider it more of a light mopping than a thorough one. Overall, the vacuum works great and for the price point you really can’t beat it, I highly recommend this vacuum even with the few downsides it’s more than worth it.

I have had several brands and several models of various robot vacuums. I love my MS1 Max it is so much quieter than the last brand I had and actually works without constant reboots and mysterious error readings. It is truly push and go. It moves seamlessly from hardwood to carpet and the Lidar mapping is outstanding (you can actually track the robots progress and position in real time). The cleaning and maintenance of the unit is pretty standard for a robot vacuum. I have tried the mop function once. It works well and will do a good job maintaining things between a good old fashion manual mopping. It is not going to give you a deep clean, but it will keep dust and pollen at bay. Bottom line: I absolutely love the vacuum and use it every day. With two boys, two bird dogs, and a lot of hardwood floors our house is in a constant battle with tracked in dirt and dog hair- this unit does wonders, it is reliable, easy to use, and most importantly, it keeps our floors super clean! If you are looking for a robot vacuum, I highly recommend the Monsga MS1 Max and would rate it over all the higher priced, familiar brands that I have had.
