Received my portable dvd player today and I must say, I am very happy about this purchase. It comes with a remote and batteries, a holder for the car headrest, a car charger, a home charger and av cables. I plugged it in and put in a dvd and the picture was a little fuzzy at first but after I fixed the contrast with the remote, the picture was clear. I definitely recommend this to anyone that needs an alternative on the go entertainment option besides a tablet or cell phone.

Worked perfectly for what we needed! Our daughter sits in the middle in the back seat so we needed one that would sit on the console and not fall all over the place. It doesn’t budge!

This fits perfectly on the headrest in my car. It is just the right size for my child to watch and enjoy. It doesn't play Blu-ray which it stated but felt it needed to be noted since many people have upgraded their dvds. It boots up quickly and the controller is simple to use.Only issue is how small the battery life feels for long trips and the charging cord isn't long enough in the car.

Good player. The controls aren't always as intuitive as they could be, but the battery life is very good. The USB input is handy, not a feature my old one had.

Got two by mistake had a DVD that would not play on 3 different expensive player works great on this player

WARNING WARNING WARNINGChanging the original review that I had. We have lost two of the 3 dvd players that we bought at the same time. After going through 10 dvds in one trip because they would all play for a while and then start skipping we realized that the two dvd players that still worked after 3 months of owning them were scratching the dvds while they were being played. I bought two brand new movies to watch for our Thanksgiving trip and after 20 minutes of playtime they stopped working. Took the dvds out and they had huge scratch rings. The players didn’t make any noise while this was happening so we had no idea. Do not buy these pieces of junk you will spend more money replacing your movies than you ever paid for the device.We bought one black, red and a blue dvd player for our boys first big road trip. I knew at this price they wouldn’t be great but I felt a review was needed. They are flimsy built. The closure for the dvd doesn’t seat all of the way so there is a small gap when it is closed and can be wiggled. It is this way on two of the 3 players. Movie quality is decent, sound quality is ok. Battery time is good so far but they have only been used once. It does take a while for them to fully charge. I would suggest charging the night before you need them. Even at $60 each we felt like they should be a little better. So 2 stars, price was decent but I’m afraid they will not hold up.

You are purchasing this product because of the price and rating, but don't expect miracles after you receive it. I went on a long road trip with my 2-year old and decided to buy this product and test it during our journey. We drove a total of 40 hours and found the unit to be a decent portable DVD player, but we also experienced some serious flaws with the unit.This DVD player is lightweight, fairly compact, and features some great accessories. The LCD screen is clear, but not necessarily crisp. The internal speakers do a decent job, but sound levels were sporadic between movies and too quiet on some—easy fix with a portable speaker or headphones. The unit isn't the fastest thing to load media, but we are dealing with fairly archaic technology with longer load times. The swivel screen allows users to watch movies on a horizontal or vertical surface, such as on a desktop or in the vehicle on headrest mount (not included).The DVD player is fairly inexpensive and has some serious design flaws. The included remote is difficult to comprehend with a plethora of gray buttons with white symbols on them. This makes it impossible to see unless you have it in direct light, which made operating the unit in the car during the evening and night an absolute nightmare. The remote is also extremely useless when watching the unit in a car in a headrest mount. The sensor for the remote is placed on the top of the DVD player for use on a horizontal surface, which makes it impossible to use in a vehicle unless you point the remote directly above the unit.The unit has buttons which allow for volume, media, and playback controls. These work great if watching the unit on a horizontal surface, but if you swivel the screen to place in the headrest mount the buttons are smashed and the DVD player will quit working. We usually had the unit start to endlessly fast forward the movie until we took the unit out of the mount, fixed the playback, and gently placed it back into the mount—usually we had to repeat this process several times before we could get it to work in the mount. This design flaw also caused the unit to behave erratically on large bumps on the road, ending our movies early.I was excited the unit played digital media and wanted to watch some of our digital library, but the formats compatible with the unit are outdated. The unit does not support MPEG4 playback, unless it is very low quality—I never got an MPEG4 to work after several different attempts to convert the media to various other formats.When outputting the AV—to a television or other AV inputs—the unit will still playback sound. I hooked the unit up to the hotel room television with the included AV cables, but could never turn the sound off on the unit; which was mildly annoying, but not a deal-breakerOverall, the DVD player is decent for the price, but you aren't going to be watching a plasma TV with surround sound in high definition.
