I bought these on a lightning deal for my daughter who was looking for a temporary substitute for her earbuds whilst an ear injury healed. I was skeptical that at under £10 the quality would be poor but the reviews suggested otherwise. Sure enough when they arrived my daughter was really pleased with the fit, comfort and sound quality. Sadly just over 4 weeks later the sound in the right speaker became intermittent and has now pretty much given up altogether. Rather disappointing, although on the plus side we didn’t pay much and she got the use out of them that she needed. She is keeping them as an emergency spare pair.

At just £6.99 (on lightning deal) the headphones do feel cheap and the sound quality really is quite poor, which surprised me as sound quality has improved dramatically in cheaper devices lately and the reviews seemed to suggest it was good. I have a pair brandless £10 Bluetooth earphones which have, in my opinion, double the sound quality of these.Furthermore, the device is small, really small, barely covering my ears, would be ideal for a child.They only have ONE 3.5mm audio jack, no seperate microphone jack. So you can forget about using these on anything other than a mobile device or perhaps games console.The microphone itself is situated on the single lead that comes out of the device. So sound quality from the microphone greatly varies depending on what actively you’re doing... walking and talking outdoors is useless as it picks up wind noise and even the noise of the microphone bouncing, not good.In summary, if you’re an adult thinking of purchasing these headphones for yourself, don’t, there are much better alternatives available.If these where advertised at children I would’ve given them a 4 stars rating. But unfortunately, you’ve chosen the wrong target audience, just 2 stars.
