Looks like the original, but a little tight
I purchased this item to replace a plate that was attached to a camera that was stolen. I had the Alta 204 tripod, and this looks exactly like the one that was stolen, but this plate is a pretty tight fit. It works, but you have to thumb the release to get the plate to lock properly.

I did some checking on the web about which quick shoe fits my model of Vanguard tripod. It matched the information here. I have the 233AP and this quick shoe fits it perfectly.

My son ordered it as a replacement part. It appeared it would work but did not fit on his tripod when we received it. Not sure if it was his mistake or bad information.
