Classic Beach Cruiser Bicycle Bell - Multiple Color Options

Works well so far, easy to mount. I saw several reviews saying you can only mount on left side or it's for left handed people and have no idea what they are talking about unless the only way they are willing to operate the bell is by pushing with a thumb. I put it on the right and just pull down on the lever with my finger to operate the bell. It works fine. Seafoam color is nice.

These are pretty bells. I really like all the colors and the straightforward design. They're also really inexpensive. To me, this is a bicycle bell the way it's supposed to be. It's quite loud and people in cars will hear it. It's an important safety feature.However, I am looking to replace it. The main reason is that it rings by itself every time I go over a bump. I think this is a construction flaw, this kind of bell doesn't have to be like that. And I ride on logging roads, there is a lot of ringing. Good to alert bears, probably, but it gets on my nerves.A more minor issue is that it would be nice if they gave you a little piece of rubber to protect your nice aluminum alloy handlebars. On steel bars that's not necessary.

I really wanted to like this and it worked fine for a while. But in the long term the orange lid-piece kept twisting off completely when my child would want to touch it and the whole bell was so heavy that it would fall around the bars and down to the front. It was frustrating to be unable to tighten it enough to prevent that slippage. In the end we bought a cheap plastic one. I have been much happier with that one, sad to say. If you’re dying to have something made entirely of metal and don’t intend to touch it or move it ever, and have no children in your house, this might be for you.

Cute, with classic sound. I bought this for my wife to use with her vintage bike. My only complaint is that your only option is to mount it on the left handlebar. It would be nice to be able to mount it on either side.

I would’ve given this five stars but it’s a left handed bell. ( meaning, you need to install it on your left handle bar to use the natural action of your thumb to ring it.) My previous bike bells were all right handed. I’m right handed. As are most people. So, it’s hard to get used to. I’m also less comfortable removing my left hand from the handle bars in difficult conditions when I need to use the bell.Every thing else is lovely about the bell. It makes a nice loud “traditional” bike bell sound. When people hear it, they know immediately a bike is coming and make some effort to move.I really liked that they offered black matte as a color choice. My previous bell was silver chrome which I thought was great until the first sunny day I had it on my bike and it reflected the sun painfully into my eyes. There’s still some chrome on this bell but it’s a significant improvement over my old all chrome bell.Installation was also a cinch. It will fit a wide variety of handle bar sizes.

This is so cute! I’ve gotten many compliments on it. It works well, I got it because when I’m out riding, I needed a way to let people know I was passing. My rides are easier now that I can alert people that I’m coming. This bell comes in many great colors too! Very sturdy and such a delightful sound.

The bell looks good, sounds good, is loud enough, and seems to be high quality. Minor nits: 1 - It is big by modern standards, and on a flat handlebar the area near the thumb is crowded. So it was a little tough to mount it at the right angle. 2 - It's a an aptly named 'Classic' bike bell, with a spring loaded lever that rings as you push and again as you release, resulting in a 'ching-ching' sound, just like back in the day on your Stingray. I would have preferred a single chime.

I got this to match his Hot Wheels bike and its awesome. Great traditional "ring ring" sound. Love it. Would buy this again.
