The actual plastic hand holds are fine. The problem is with the included hardware. The literature says the holds are to be mounted on 1" boards (I have built no fewer than 20 climbing walls on playsets) but they included bolts that are 1 1/2", which are not the correct size for 1" boards; they require a minimum of 2" bolts. Someone was asleep at the switch (and if I had time I would have returned the product instead of having to go buy the correct size bolt.) Further, the bolts came with "pronged" nuts, which make sense to secure the hand holds. However, they included washers to be used on the bolt that were larger than the prongs on the nut! Again, frustrating and poor reflection on the product, packager or jobber.

The rocks themselves are great! Downfall is the company sends the wrong bolts to go with it. Says fits into 1 inch board which they do not. I did contact the company and they gave me some money back for this problem but weren't able to send the correct bolts out. Ended up buying $20 worth of bolts to put these on. They look nice and work well. Only problem was the bolts.

These are really fun! We added a small climbing wall to our play castle. The pictures make it seem like the supplied bolts will fit a 2" board. They do not. I had to get a really big drill bit and drill holes on the back side so I could attach them. Lots more work than it should have been. Also, about half the nuts that are designed to sink their "teeth" into the wood for stability just flattened out, so it's just like a regular nut.

Great product, only suggestion FYI if you will is the bolts provided are not long enough for standard width (2”)boards. They are only long enough for 1” thickness boards. I had to buy new bolts, but the product is great and sturdy.

The screws are WAYYY too short to attach to anything but plywood or paneling. I made my wall sturdy with 2x6’s and they wouldn’t wven clear the wood, much less with a nut.

These were easy to install on a 9/16 plywood board. Two of my grandchildren Run to the climbing-wall each time they come to my home. One of the Best purchases I have made.

they are pretty big and work well for a young kid -- the box was really beat up rrhat they came in but were in a very strong bag so all the hardware was ina another bag inside so you didn't feel like you lost anything and made it nice when it came to putting up wall

Bought 3 of these and it was just what we needed! We were gifted a huge orange dome and I knew right away I wanted climbing holds for it so my son could play and climb. He loves it, and wants to climb all the time! Very sturdy and the price was right.
